"Don't walk away from negative people, run!"

To prevent any unwanted argument between themselves, James and Julia decided to keep the conversation about her engagement aside for the night and shifted their focus into something that was more important. Which was enjoying the rest of the evening. As they enjoyed the champagne and wine, there was a sound of heels clicking on the floor.

“Hello, father.” Julia and James turned their head at the same time to meet the burgundy haired woman.

“Jessica. I didn’t think you would come since I didn’t see you until now. You haven’t gotten rid of that tardiness of yours, I see.” James spoke calmly but he didn’t seem amused at all by the woman’s presence.

Julia didn’t know who she was, but she called James father so she must be his daughter. It was strange since James never mentioned anything about her to Julia before. Jessica smirked and pulled a chair to take a seat on her own.
