Chapter 17 Calling a Friend

I stay seated on the couch with the blanket over me, staring at my mate. Help him? How can I help him when I myself don't know how to fix this, how to fix myself. I carefully voice out my questions and Alex just stares at my body covered by the white fabric.

"What about that cream you used on me?", he asks.

"I told you...", I answer, afraid that my negative answer would only infuriate him, "It doesn't work on bruises like these... It is only for open wounds where it can come in contact with my blood..."

"But there must be a way we could change it, use its ingredients to form something you could either consume or inject into yourself?", the male asks, "Something to nullify the effect of wolfsbane in your system. Also, stop consuming more."
