With hesitant steps and a kitchen knife in hand, Claire makes her way to the storeroom where the noise came from. The lights in the tiny room were off as usual yet the soft wind hitting her nose tells her that she had forgotten to shut the window. As she walks over to the window, the door shuts close behind her, making her yelp and turn around. She isn't alone. Before she could think of her next move, the brunette is pinned to the wall behind her by a firm grip on her neck.
She couldn't see the face of her attacker but his strong scent of rain mixed with the metallic smell of his blood hits her nostrils. Claire could tell the Rogue is smirking with his face so close to hers and as his grip tightens on her throat, her air supply gets cut short. Her lips quiver only to say one word, "..Mate..."

Nadia shows us the syringe again before pulling out a small notebook and pen. "Okay...so we have to inject Claire first...and then I would note down the result."


I nod before taking the injection from her. "Wait wait", Alex says before holding my wrist firmly, "Please do tell me that you at least tested this on someone before."


The redhead scratches the back of her neck nervously, "I didn't have a test subject for this so...Claire is the first to try it."


Needless to say, her answer didn't make my mate happy. He narrows his leaden peepers at her, "So she will be your little piglet to test your witchy doo doo on?"


"Science!", Nadia huffs before crossing her arms, "And whom would I test this on? Not like an animal would tell me if it's feeling any better or anything!"


"Well, maybe you should have tried it on yourself!", the male growls before glaring at me in a warning manner that said, 'Don't you Dare inject yourself!' I gulped before nodding to the unspoken command.
