With hesitant steps and a kitchen knife in hand, Claire makes her way to the storeroom where the noise came from. The lights in the tiny room were off as usual yet the soft wind hitting her nose tells her that she had forgotten to shut the window. As she walks over to the window, the door shuts close behind her, making her yelp and turn around. She isn't alone. Before she could think of her next move, the brunette is pinned to the wall behind her by a firm grip on her neck.
She couldn't see the face of her attacker but his strong scent of rain mixed with the metallic smell of his blood hits her nostrils. Claire could tell the Rogue is smirking with his face so close to hers and as his grip tightens on her throat, her air supply gets cut short. Her lips quiver only to say one word, "..Mate..."

"We are down to 5 doses. It would last about a week and a half though.", I tell Nadia who sat across me in the cafe, sipping her hot chocolate.


"No worries", the redhead waves her hand, "The next batch would be ready soon. I went out of the border yesterday to fetch more herbs." She takes another sip before lifting her head, "Which bring me to this question of mine. Who are these people Alex asks to bring the herbs? And why do they just leave it out like that instead of waiting for me to come take it from them?”


The female points her half eaten chocolate donut at me, “Don’t you find all this weird? Suspicious?”


I clutch the coffee mug in my hand a little tighter, “H-How suspicious..?”
