After their chat with the king and queen, Carter and Roxy returned to their rooms. Roxy was becoming increasingly perplexed as she tried to absorb all the Alpha King Lisbon had said.


Carter was concerned about Roxy since he now knew what was preventing her from totally accepting him. He was now seated on their bed, contemplating, and looking at Roxy.


"Love.." Carter called Roxy as she was still in deep thought.


"I know you're having trouble understanding our situation, especially yours; it's not every day that you wake up in someone else's body; however, I wanted to tell you that before all of this, when I was seeing Roxy being bullied, I had this feeling of wanting to protect her; now I know why; it was because you'll be coming into our lives and become her."


"Is this even fair? How could she die so that I might depart and fulfill the prophecy? Is her life not valuable, she was dearly loved by her mother, and here I am, stealing what was hers?" Roxy ponders her fate.
