Chapter 110 Blood, Sweat, and Tears II

Grace's POV

“If I wanted to kill you quickly…,” I said calmly, yet it was a deserving calm. My powers flared once again, spread out and giving me wings again. Giving me the appearance of a deadly destructive angel.

Of a true Fire Witch!

“I would have simply done this – but with your head!”

I snapped my fingers--- and Cole’s face contorted into shock and pain. It took him a hot second before he realized that his arm had exploded, from the socket of his shoulder and down. The wolves surrounding us gasped as blood, flesh, and bone splattered around them, coloring the ground an interesting red.

Still howling in agony, Cole crashed to his knees, his hand hopelessly trying to cover the gaping wound. A part of me – the part that once had loved him and was still human – ached a little. And in a way, I was glad that it did, because it meant that I was still somewhat human. I was still connected to the girl my parents had raised me to be.

And I wanted to honor them…
