Little Angel

Sister Agnes' POV.

I was sitting on the bed searching my drawer for an important document I needed to work on it. While searching, I came across my old album. I decided to take a break and go through this album. I went to the living room and sat down on the couch.

I opened the album. While looking through it, I came across a picture I took with the Richardsons, when I first met them.

Flashback

Eleven years ago!

It was on a Saturday morning, I was at Red-light distributing food and clothes to the street beggars ( Unprivileged). Across the road stood the Richardson family. They looked tried, and hungry. My attention was drawn to the little Angel in the lady's hand( Elizabeth). I crossed the road I was curious to know about this beautiful Angel. I promised in my heart to ask the chamming baby's parents, to please allow me to be their daughter's guide mother.

I greeted them. I asked for the chamming baby's name and I was told that she was called Angel Richardson.( Angel Richardson had a very black hair, with a rare big blue eyes, she was brown in complexion).

I felt in love with that chamming baby even more, when I heard the name, Angel!

I told myself indeed, that she was indeed an Angel! I asked them if I could be the guide mother of their daughter they agreed.

It was strange though, for people who were not Catholics to accept a Catholic sister to become their child's guide parent. I knew that God has his ways of doing things. I guess this was our fate!! I asked them were they lived they told me that they have just arrived in Monrovia and they did not have a place to stay.

I took them to the house my mother and I lived in, when I was little. They were happy to stay there. I told them to live the as long as they wish.

(The house was on Camp Johnson Road. It was an old Congo house)

When Angel was five years old. I enrolled her in St. Teresa Convent. She was very bright in school. She shined as the brightest star in the sky. She got double promotion four times, which took her to tenth grade, at age twelve.
