Chapter 2:Reminiscing about the past

As Finn walked through the front door of his house he sighed, he could hear his parents arguing in the kitchen. He made sure to be as quiet as he could as he took his shoes off, sneaking carefully up to his room.

Once he reached his room he sighed, leaning his head against the door. He took a deep breath before pushing off the door and walking over to his desk. He flopped into his chair, taking off his plaid jacket and tossing it somewhere in the direction of his closet.

He spun around in his chair a couple of times before deciding to read a book. He got up from his chair, heading over to the small bookshelf standing beside his bedroom door. He grabbed a random book, not paying any thought to what book it was.

He walked back to his desk, inspecting the cover of the book as he sat back down. 'Oh! It's mine and Gray's picture book' He thought, a wide smile appearing on his face as he opened the book carefully. He chuckled as he flipped through all of the baby photos of him and Gray together.

He paused as he saw a photo of Gray as a baby, painting on the walls with a bunch of markers. Finn pulled out his phone, a mischievous grin painted on his face. He took out his phone and took a picture of the photo.

He sent the photo to Gray, along with the text 'This you?' He turned off his phone, setting it on his desk. He continues flipping through the book, stopping a couple of times to reminisce about the day the picture was taken.

He stopped for a longer time on a certain picture though, a picture that was taken on the last day of high school. Finn stared at the picture, remembering the amazing day that happened two years ago.

June 25, 2021, was the best day of his life, and it was also the day that he realized he was gay. He was snapped out of his thoughts because of a 'ding!' notification sound coming from his phone.

He picked up his phone, checking to see what the notification was, as soon as he saw that it was Gray responding to him he immediately unlocked his phone. He grinned as he saw Gray's response.

Gray had responded with a bunch of angry emojis and a very kind message with absolutely 𝘯𝘰 inappropriate language, Gray would 𝘯𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 do something like that. Finn just laughed at Gray's response.

He sent one last text before setting his phone down in his dresser, before heading to the bathroom and brushing his teeth. Once he'd finished brushing his teeth he climbed into his bed, still smiling from Gray's response. He always gets so happy about just about anything, as long as Gray is in it.

He rolled over to face the wall, closing his eyes and drifting off slowly to a peaceful sleep, his mind filled with memories of him and Gray.
