More than spells

Ariel went back to her room and called Resa asking her how she was going to make the arrangements for the trip and with the little but enough knowledge Resa had about it, she told Ariel how to get things done. The call took about ten minutes and Ariel ended it with "Thank you Resa"

After Resa had guided Ariel on how to be the perfect assistant to Jisoong other than just bringing him coffee, Ariel quickly made arrangements for the trip. Jin had told her the trip was to Italy, she had never travelled before so it was something she looked forward to.

"At least I have that done already. Now, it's time to practice all grandma told me" Ariel said to herself as she grabbed the spell book and walked out of her room. On her way down the stairs, she met Jin. "Sir, please do you guys have an empty space where I can practice some spells" Ariel said and the man replied with a smile "Follow me".

Though Ariel still found it weird that she was a witch, she just had to accept it. Accept her new life. Ariel tagged along Jin until they got out of the house and arrived in a large garden at the back of the house. "This is where my boss does some training, I'm sure the space will be enough for you to do your spells" Jin said as he stood at a corner. Ariel smiled at him and opened the spell book.

Taking into practice the little her grandmother had taught her, she uttered some words and soon, green lights like tiny sparkles surrounded her and in millisecond, a metal sword appeared in Ariel's hand and Jin was quite taken back that he said "It seems you are a fast learner" and Ariel turned around and asked "How did you know I'm just a beginner?" and Jin smiled before answering "It's not the first time I have seen witches do their spells. I have seen countless witches including Yuan cast spells and he's experienced. If you want to beat him, you have to do more than this. Though you did very well for a first timer". His statement had Ariel lost in thoughts for a few seconds before saying "Thank you Sir. I'll try to do better".

In that same moment, Jisoong walked in and said "If you want to do better, you have to do more than just spells". Ariel faced him and asked "What do you mean?". "Exactly what I said" Jisoong answered. "From what I can see, you are still a newbie to this. Though your magic is impressive, you'll need more than magic to defeat Yuan." He continued. Ariel paused and said "So you are saying that I need to learn other things to defend myself apart from spells right?" and Jisoong only replied with a little nod before saying "Lets take archery for example. You can do that along with your spells".

"But I can't even use a sword properly, not to mention a bow and arrow" Ariel said staring at Jisoong with her enchanting green eyes. That second, something flashed in Jisoong's eyes but it disappeared with the same speed it came. " I'll teach you" He said to her and Ariel retorted "I can't let you do that. You are my boss" she said and Jisoong smirked momentarily and said "So? Ariel, this is a once in a lifetime offer. If you are not ready to be my student, forget it". After saying this, he was about to walk away but Ariel held unto his arm and said "It's fine. I'll accept your help". He looked at her hand that was holding unto him and when Ariel saw where he gaze was, she removed her hand and Jisoong said "I'm not helping you. It was just an offer. We start tomorrow". After that, he walked away and Ariel sighed.

"Okay..." She said

In Ariel's garden~

"Do you think Ariel can really defeat Yuan. You know how evil Yuan is" Ariel's grandmother said

"I know Ariel can do it. But it will take that young man to help her too" Ariel's mother's spirit spoke

"You mean the vampire guy?" Ariel's mother asked and the spirit nodded.

"At least with him by her side, I'm sure she'll remain safe" Ariel's mother said before vanishing.....
