Chapter 26

The sun soared slowly to the west, blazing at its peak as it warmed the lands of Hogback Mountain. Located just to the north of Marquette, it was infamous for being the most difficult hike in Michigan. It had a very unfriendly rugged terrain that even tho it was only 10 minutes away from a town with over 20,000 population, people rarely ever came to Hogback Mountain. In fact, one had to get directions from locals before they could find it. And sometimes, even these locals didn’t know how to get there. It was very difficult to locate it because it was bathed in a sea of forests and hills, unbroken by even a single road. However, it was this solitude it offered that made The Council choose it as their training ground.
