Chapter 35

Just like everyone was doing, Jane packed her things as she prepared to leave the Druid’s Tower. No one was kicking her out but according to her, it was high time she already left. In fact, it was something she should’ve done a long time ago — something they should’ve done earlier, Topher and her. That way, he would’ve still been alive and not dead. It brought tears to her eyes admitting this truth, but it was better than torturing herself with the idea that maybe he was alive somewhere, and this was all some sort of shenanigan. “Just if only they’d left immediately after he recovered” she wished she could rewind the hands of time.

Once she was done packing her things, Jane donned Topher’s jacket and turned to leave before she spotted Bale waiting by her door.

“Stop being a creep and say why you’re here” she demanded sternly, refusing to mince words. It didn’t even bother her how long he must’ve been standing there.
