“Please, take me as your student,” Viron humbly bowed his head. He had not expected to meet someone like this here.
“Now that’s the spirit,” Zenchi nodded with a smile. “You should have just said so earlier.”
“My apologies,” Viron bowed even lower. ‘I hope he’s not offended. I’m ashamed that I didn’t recognize him earlier.’
“Come on now, there’s no need for this much formality. You can stand upright.”
Viron did just that as Zenchi went back to sit on the rock.
“If I may ask, what is someone like you doing here?”
“I was bored. That’s all.” He waved nonchalantly, drinking another gulp. “By the way, how is Viden doing?”
His eyes didn’t fail to notice the slight change in Viron’s expression before he replied.
“I’m not sure. It’s been some time since I last met him. But if something bad happened, I would’ve been notified.”
