It was less than he had expected.

Well, since we used little to no effort taking down the beast, expecting more would just be greedy.

He held his head as a brief wave of dizziness washed over him before quickly fading. It was the usual side effect, though noticeably weaker than the first time. Probably because he hadn’t absorbed much this time.

The beast lay still on the ground, even after Art removed his hand from its head. It was alive—but paralyzed. Completely unable to move.

That was the effect of the Energy Drain skill. Victims became husks—empty vessels. And even now, Art didn’t know how long the paralysis would last… or if it would ever fade at all.

With one swift motion, he ended the beast’s life and secured the EXP.
