Devil's Delight

Mark's apartment

Late evening

Mark had been running from one project to the next for weeks now, and he was exhausted. But he couldn't help feeling a sense of pride as he looked at the pile of money on his desk. His deal with the devil had certainly paid off.

He poured himself a drink and sank into his armchair, trying to relax for a moment. But his mind was racing with thoughts of his next project. He knew that the task given to him by the demon would be dangerous, but the thrill of the challenge was too great to resist.

As he took another sip of his drink, he didn't notice the room around him start to darken. The air grew thick and heavy, and he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Mark," a voice whispered in his ear.

He jumped out of his chair, spilling his drink on the floor. He turned around to see the demon standing before him.

"What do you want?" Mark asked, trying to keep the fear out of his voice.

"I just wanted to make sure that you're still on board with our little project," the demon said with a smile.

"I am," Mark replied, feeling a surge of excitement. "When do we start?"

"Soon," the demon said. "But there's something you need to know first. This task is not without risk. It will take you to the depths of hell, and you may not come back."

Mark felt a twinge of fear in his gut, but he brushed it aside. He had come too far to back out now.

"I understand," he said, trying to sound confident.

"Good," the demon said. "Then let's get started."

With that, the demon disappeared into the shadows, leaving Mark alone with his thoughts. He knew that he was in over his head, but he couldn't help feeling a sense of excitement. He was about to embark on the ultimate challenge, and he was determined to succeed.

Little did he know, the devil was already plotting his downfall. And Mark was about to learn that making a deal with the devil was never worth the price.

Title: Pact with the Devil

A modern city, bustling with activity and filled with skyscrapers.

Present day.

Mark sat in his office, surrounded by stacks of papers and contracts. He had become incredibly successful after the video of Jeni and Alex's exorcism had gone viral, and now he was one of the most sought-after business consultants in the city. He smiled to himself, feeling satisfied with his life.

Suddenly, he heard a voice in his head. It was the voice of the devil, the one he had made a pact with months ago. "Mark, you have been so busy with your success that you have forgotten our deal. It is time for you to fulfill your end of the bargain."

Mark was taken aback. He had thought that his deal with the devil was just a joke, a silly thing he had done on a whim. But now he realized that the devil was serious.

"What do you want me to do?" he asked, his voice shaking.

"I want you to pay for your past sins, Mark. Remember how you accidentally poisoned those people? You must pay for what you have done."

Mark felt a cold shiver run down his spine. He had never told anyone about his past mistakes, and now the devil knew about them. But he was still reluctant to fulfill his end of the bargain.

"I don't want to do it," he said, his voice firm.

The devil laughed. "You have no choice, Mark. You made a deal with me, and now you must pay the price."

Mark's heart sank. He had made a terrible mistake in making a pact with the devil, and now he was paying the price. He didn't know what he was going to do.

As he sat there, lost in thought, he realized that he had been a fool to think that there would be no consequences for his past actions. And now, he was stuck with a terrible fate.
