Yet another loss!

Elena spent two more days at the blood crest inn. During this period, she trained nonstop within her domain of darkness.

After training too her satisfaction, she finally decided to put her plans in motion. for starters, she decided to use her shape-shifting skill to take on the appearance of somebody else.

After much consideration, she took on the appearance of Helen, her friend, when she was still a human back on earth.afterwhich she left the Inn.

since zuk was currently in its period of experiencing constant sunlight, elena played the part of a confident young lady.

The confidence behind every majestic step she took naturally made the male vampires she walked past to spare her a second glance.

while walking, she passed by two female vampire that were in the military standing close to an alleyway she took the liberty of greeting them before entering into the alley.

And then she began screaming, "Help, help somebody help." her cry for help caught the attention of the female vampires in the military as they rushed towards her.

When elena noticed them, she activated her skill "mind of darkness," as she began using dark energies to amplify their fears...not quite long, both vampires were laying flat cold on the floor as they had both passed out due to the amount of fear they experienced within a split seconds.

After accomplishing the first phase of her plans, Elena then took on the appearance of one of them with her shape-shifting skill before dressing up in her full military attire.

with a quick use of her scrutiny skill, She was able to get detailed information about the vampire she was currently impersonating.

The female vampire name was Anna, age 20. Her current rank in the military was that of a captain.

the chain of commands in the zastlevania military was as follows.

A unit had of 10 soldiers was headed by a captain.

usually, a unit had vampires in the ordinary rank or the first stage of the mage vampire ranks troops with a salary of 2500 gold coins per month.

A captain, on the other hand, was paid 5000 gold coins per month.

A group of 10 units made a garrison, headed by the garrison commander.

the salary of a garrison commander was 10,000 gold coins per month.

5 garrison made a brigade, headed by a brigade general.

The brigade generals were normally in the 3rd stage of the mage vampire rank or the first stage of the Draconic rank.

their salary was 30,000 gold coins per month, and they were respected in all 7 cities, including the capital.

A collection of 5- brigades made a major unit , headed by a major.

The majors were usually at the 3rd stage of their Draconic Vampire rank to the second stage of the psychic rank.

above a few major came the lieutenants and above the lieutenants came general.

Elena was satisfied with the identity of Anna, as she reckoned it would be enough for her to access zareth's dungeon.

Looking at the two vampires still laying on the floor, dracula asked Elena to kill them in other for to cover up her tracks but she insisted on keeping them alive, so she finally created a domain space of darkness were she kept them for now.

without wasting any more time, she made her way into the Palace before finding her way towards the dungeon with the help of God eyes.

when she arrived at the dungeon, the guard gave her easy access to zareth's and master Leo's dungeon since he saw she was a captain.

When she entered into the dungeon,she reversed to her real appearance, the dungeon was empty, but a quick scan with her scrutiny skill told her someone was present in side the dungeon.

The energy she felt gave her a feel of nothingness. She was unable to grasp the true essence of whatever power was present in the room, so she tried attacking the areas where she felt the strange power was concentrated the most.

Whenever her attack comes into contact with the areas, it will automatically cancel out. It was as if anything that comes in contact with this strange power automatically ceases to exist.

This left a sour taste in her mouth. Somehow, it reminded her of the domain of darkness master Aidris had thrown them into when they first arrived in chaldin.

Left without much option, she decided to observe first before deciding on what to do.

zareth and master Leo were currently inside a void space where zareth was undergoing his draconic evolution.

Zareth was convulsing due to the changes his body was undergoing. he was screaming at the top of his lungs.

The reason why his evolution was proving to be so difficult was the fact that they barely had enough blood to serve as meal daily, let alone enough blood to carry him through an evolution stage.

But master Leo had gone on with the process because he was willing to try something different, something that might put his own life in danger.

Seeing zareth convulse without any intention to stop, he knew if he didn't feed him with enough blood soon, zareth might lose his life in the process.

so, master leo slit opened his palms and began feeding his blood to zareth. the more blood zareth took from his master the more weak his master became.

The reason Elena was unable to see them even if technically the space existed inside the dungeon was because she was yet to master the void element.

Although her senses and perception could peak up on the void energy present in the room, it was unable to pick up on zareth's.

As zareth kept feeding on his master's blood, the energy at which the void space was functioning became weaker and weaker.

Elena was still observing the void energies present in the room since she had no way of breaking through it.

Not quite long. It was as if the energy that had been present in the room ceased to exist. and then it was like a veil had been lifted to the left corner of the room. She saw two male vampires.

one was lying on a bed while the other was lying on the ground. the one on the ground was an old vampire with beautiful red eyes.

when her eyes focused on the facial features of the vampire on the he'd, she realised with was zareth.

without wasting time, she made her way to where he was. zareth eyes were wide open, but he was breathing very fast.

seeing this, elena used the mind of darkness skills on zareth in order to calm his emotions down. not quite long, his breathing pattern returned back to normal.

It was only then that zareth noticed Elena was sitting next to him on the small bed. his first reaction was to hug her.

She was that one person he longed to see. she was among the reasons why he wanted to grow stronger.

seeing her right now felt like a dream, but if it was a dream, he was willing to remain in this state forever.

After hugging her for what seemed like eternity, he finally let go. "H Ho how, how did you find me?" he finally asked. with pain evident in his voice.

I'm sorry I wasn't there when you needed me zareth, but I'm here now. we can leave this place together. I'm here now. Elena responded without answering zareth's initial question.

The old man, who is he? she proceeded to ask him a question of her own as she pointed to the spot where the old vampire was lying on the floor.

It was only then that Zareth remembered he wasn't alone in this dungeon. " Master, master he cried out as he quickly reached out to master Leo."

master Leo was unresponsive. No matter how hard zareth yelled or shook him, he lay motionless.

When zareth was convulsing earlier, he had made the decision to save zareth's life with his. to keep zareth alive, he had used his blood energy and life-force as a fuel to successfully complete the evolution process.

unable to bear the loss of the man who he considered not just a teacher but a mentor and a second father , zareth also broke down in tears.

Elena, at this point, was confused. Although she didn't know what exactly happened, she knew they needed to get the hell out of there, not unless they wanted to draw attention to themselves.
