Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

Black Blood - The Alter World

"Sorry if I kept you guys waiting," I remarked, as I entered the garage.

"No worries, it hasn't been very long since we got here. Nice outfit, looking good, Red," Xandra greeted me with a nod of approval.

I was wearing a dark grey, long sleeved t-shirt with an unbuttoned coarse-white shirt on top and black jeans. I'm not very good with fashion, so to be safe, I always go as simple as possible.

She looks really good herself...she was wearing a sleeveless pink shirt with a couple of the top buttons open and the collar turned up, black shorts with thigh-high black tights and slender white shoes, with a red hoodie tied around her waist by the sleeves.

"I guess he looks passably good, but not as good as me, of course," Smirked one of the others.

Oleos Escarra, one of the other Unity members in my age group. He had black hair which was slicked back, with the hair growing from the point of his widow's peak a snowy white and curled over his forehead.
