Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

"We're not far from them now, we should be able to intercept them right by the entrance of the forest at this rate," Remarked Wick, as a tinge of green came into sight in the distance.

"Wait, hold on a second...now that I think about it, don't we totally have this in the bag? I mean, it's a forest, it's basically unlimited ammo for you," I pointed out in response.

"Oh, yeah, shouldn't you pretty much be unstoppable in a place like this?" Added Theo in agreement.

"That's no reason to let down our guards," He replied with a frown.

Wait, so all his warnings and worrying was just him being overly cautious? Seriously? If can control all the plants around him, Monsters and wild animals won't be of any real concern whatsoever.

For that matter, why are so many of us here when he's got such a tremendous terrain advantage?
