Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

I pushed open the gates and stepped into the driveway, my blood feeling like it was boiling with rage inside me as I entered and made my way towards the building.

The lights are still on inside...I suppose it doesn't make any difference, they installed various different sensors and stuff after that terrorist attack shortly after I first joined them, so they've already been alerted to the fact that an intruder is here.

I walked around the building, recalling the layout of the rooms inside as I made my way across...here it is, this is where my target is.

I then extended out blood around my fingers, shaping them into long, sharp claws over each finger, digging them into the wall and climbing up, as I heard the front entrance open, several familiar voices echoing out.
