Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"So, you need me to blast down the entrance, yeah? Not a problem, just leave it to me! Hm, given the distance, it'll probably take a minute or two to charge up a strong enough kinetic blast," Surmised, uh, Je-Two.

"Got it. And while you're focusing on that, I'll get ready to blast the roof," I replied, as I formed Blood Gems on both palms and my forehead, locking my gaze onto the roof of the venue as I added, "Let me know when you're ready to fire, I'll launch my blasts right after you cave in the entrance."

"Roger that, my guy! You can count on me!"
