Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

"That's it right there...sure you're up for this?" Inquired Saif warily.

"Yeah, I'm sure, I've got this. You getting the blueprints for this place definitely helped...I know which areas the cells are in, I just need to avoiding damaging those areas and we'll be good. Leave it to me," I replied with a nod.

"Still, be careful...they have a lot of anti-Alter tech in there, dampening field barriers that nullify Alter powers, Alter detection devices, and who knows what else?" He pointed out in response.

"I know, believe me, I'm not going to take that lightly...I've been imprisoned before, with my powers suppressed. It was the worst. There's absolutely no way I'm letting that happen again," I responded assuredly, as I manifested my wings and spread them out, flying up and going over above the place, staring down at it as I got to around right above the middle of the facility.
