Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

Black Blood - The Alter World

I leapt off the rooftop I was on and rapidly swooped down towards the top of the building across the street, firing out a powerful Blood Ray from my forehead at the roof to bust a hole through the ceiling, before I flew into it as screams rang out from inside the building.

"L-look up there! It's...it's a F-Freak!"

"I-it's the one with the vile blood powers!"

"Damn it, I thought they were all dead!"

I fired beams out at the spots above the doors in the hall, blasting them down and caving in the entranceways, to prevent any of them from escaping.

"Tell me, how does it feel? To have been celebrating that you're finally free of us Alters, only now to be at the mercy of one?" I inquired icily.

"Go to hell, you fucking monster!"

"Y-yeah, do your worst! We're not afraid of you, Freak!"

"We're the real humans, you vile creatures are nothing but abominations that should never exist!"
