Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

However, Alters are a minority in this world, and are discriminated against severely. Initially believe that he doesn't possess any powers, the protagonist soon realizes that he has inherited an ancient power, a power that only one other being has previously possessed in this world.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for... 

What lies in wait for him in this new world? Will he find peace in this world, or is he destined for something darker? What's the secret behind the power of his Black Blood? There's only one way to find out...

Mm, this is nice...yeah, life's so fucking good right now. Everything is falling into place so beautifully and perfectly, and I'm absolutely loving it.

Today's the 20th of September, 2021, and it's been about eight months since I was taken to the Vault of the Damned, the top secret prison island that I was to be incarcerated in.

Of course, as evidented by the fact that I'm not currently imprisoned, things didn't quite work out that way, heh.

Having used my powers to successfully trick the people around me into incorrectly perceiving my deactivated Suppression Collar as being active, the moment I was brought to this island, the entire place was at my mercy.
