Following a miserable, wretched life and a tragic, untimely death, the protagonist finds himself reincarnated as a baby in a different world to the one he was in before. In this world, there are people with special powers, known as Alters.

Black Blood, the power that had originated in the Progenitor of Alters, the very first human to develop powers in this world, and from whom all existing Alters are descended from. 

Determined to avoid going through the strife and hardship of his previous life, the protagonist decides to keep his powers hidden and strive to live a peaceful life in this new world. 

But it doesn't last long, his peaceful life is shattered and he gets thrust into the cruel reality of this world, a world wracked with prejudice and conflict. And it soon becomes apparent to him, that any peace he had hoped to find in this world, he would have to fight for...

"F-fuck, that hurts...heh, no getting around it, this is undoubtedly a fatal wound," She chuckled as blood poured out of her mouth, while she stared down at my blood drill that had pierced through the middle of her chest and burst out her back.

I unleashed a burst of nullifying energy, to make sure this was real and not another illusion. Looks like it's real, I...I finally did it.

"This was long overdue, but at last, I've finally killed you," I stated, as I violently yanked the blood drill out of her chest.

Blood gushed out of the gaping hole in her chest as her legs buckled and she collapsed onto her knees, coughing out more blood, her heartbeat growing steadily weaker with each passing second.
