Breaking Part 2

I pulled myself up further. My chest is scraping against the edges of the hard stone. My legs tensed with a throbbing ache, but I dropped the tip of my feet on the hook's top. Making my ascension easier, I finally was able to roll up onto the top of the mountain, its plateau. I breathed out and relaxed as my limbs burned lesser with the falling of time.

I looked up; the beautiful blanket of wading purple flowers greeted me. My eyes opened wide, and I almost gasped. It was a magnificent sight, for the flowers that are gleam to them reverberated a sense of calm, while creating intermittent glints in the twinkle of my eyes. I had to wonder how was it that these flowers were glowing.

The flowers were purple, just like the flower that was given to me by Grandma. At least she was right about this part. The dream flashed through my mind and reminded me that there was more to this.

Beyond the sea of flowers that rested before me was a series of boulders that sat haphazardly among the excited flowers.

The wind providing the tune to which they danced to. It would have been nice now to get some giggles and laughs. "I guess I reached." My breath was, but a swift draft of my Joy, for I made it. I had done it.

My head craned as I pulled myself up into a crouch. I took out the hook from the stone and reeled up the rope. Once those were slotted into my bag, my stride pulled me into the embrace of the flowers. The flowers responded to my arrival with tickles and exciting spin of the petals in the whistling wind.

That was when the pain returned. It was like in my thoughtful reverie I lost all sensation. The pain was annoying, even though it was truly a wonder. It took me a lot to get here, a lot of struggles, and a lot of pain, but looking around, I had to admit it was worth it.

The flowers were bowing their heads though in the now increasing gentle gale that rushed past me. What was I supposed to do now? I had reached the top, but I wasn't sure what was the best decision to meet right now. I frowned, for I guess I didn't think this through as much.

My up reparation for this trip was amusing. I had six days, and I still was unsure about a lot. Then again, it was hard to prepare for things that you would never expect, because I definitely didn't expect to be attacked by a beast. And I also didn't expect all the interactions, the strange weather, the egg, the old man, or the giggling wind.

A lot that's happened and all because I had a curse. Staring at my arm, the roots were still there and for some reason; they seemed to pulsate. It could be said that I was in the right place. Somebody could feel it. Glancing at the flowers, I remembered the flower I was given.

The flower survived all this time; she said I should return it and I think I should. Taking the diary out of the bag, so I could remove the flower from its delicate spot.

My fingers spun it and it left the endearing impression to know that it was going to leave my possession. I sunk down in a spot close to a boulder with an open patch of earth. The hook was taken out. With some effort, I spiked it into the ground, breaking the surface.

The earth parted as I dug deeper, breaking into the drier and harder dirt below him. I held the floor at the tip and slowly slid it into the earth. It's home, it's source. My hands pushed the dirt up and around the flower to hold it in.

The stem thickened, the leaves swelled and blushed with lush purple. It should have been green, but I guess it would take on the color of this lovely mountain and of the surrounding leaves. The smell of apricots settling on a sweet aroma like a flowing stream in a musky sea of wet wood. I wondered why the vegetation up here was purple. Was this place magical?

A giggle was heard, and I shuddered in shock. I stiffened and breathed in, then my body relaxed with a sense of enlightenment. My fingers crushed inward and my arms unreeled with a tingle that traveled up my arm to my shoulders. It was a relief, and as I looked at my arm, I saw the roots slowly deepening into my skin until it was flat and smooth.

It was surprising to me, and yet a great relief, but why was this happening? I looked down at my legs, the same thing the roots were disappearing. That was when I noticed how beautiful the flower, I planted back into the earth looked, like it was glowing even brighter than I remembered the other flowers were.
