The hallway was lit up with the warm glow of lanterns that the servants had set up on the walls. He didn't need to ask anyone to know that it was undoubtedly Seraphina's idea. Within the past three weeks, that woman had changed a lot in the castle.

He had been so occupied with his personal work that he hadn't seen her for nearly a week, and he seemed to be somewhat missing her. She had added some sort of brightness in the castle that made him think of her more often than he wanted to admit. Besides, his body didn't help much when it came to her. It seemed like every single cell in his body was craving for her.

For the past six nights, he had found himself dreaming of her. He always found himself back in that boutique of the mortal world, with her in his arms and their mouths pressed against each other's.
