Conflict of Heart

Seraphina felt a shiver run down her spine as the man's breath brushed against her ear. She was caught between an instinct to step away and a magnetic pull to remain rooted in place.

His proximity was overwhelming, though not entirely unwelcome. There was a strange comfort in his presence, but also a sense of danger.

The mystery of his identity lingered in the back of her mind, but more than anything, she couldn't shake the frustration bubbling inside her. This was the third time she had been pulled into his world, and each time, he taught her the same spell—the Spell of Light—without her managing to master it. Not only was it maddening, but it made her feel inadequate.

She turned to confront him, still careful not to look directly at his face, "Why do you keep bringing me here? It's useless! I haven't been able to cast the spell in the real world, not once!"

He chuckled softly, his voice filled with amusement. "Impatience won't get you anywhere, Sera."
