The Dark Sea (II)

"A cave?" Raven asked, his voice calm yet curious as they arrived in front of the cave's entrance. It was hidden away, carved into the side of a cliff, with rough stone steps leading the way. His sharp eyes scanned the area, clearly trying to understand what this place was meant to be.

Seraphina couldn't help but smile. She knew the surprise she had planned for him was something special. "Trust me, you are going to love it," she said, her tone playful yet hopeful. Without waiting for a response, she took a step forward and grabbed his hand.

This time, she wanted to be bolder. She had been holding back for so long, hesitant to cross the invisible line between them. Today was about changing that. Her heart thudded a little faster in her chest as she held his hand, waiting for his reaction. When he didn't pull away, a sense of relief washed over her, warming her from the inside.
