The Prophecy (II)

The voice stopped speaking and Seraphina watched as the scroll rolled up again and then disappeared from the sight.

"Was it... talking about..."

She couldn't make herself say it. A part of her, the scared and confused one, kept hoping that she was reading too much into the prophecy and was completely wrong with her guess.

Yet, she heard River confirming her biggest fear. "It's exactly what you think it is. The prophecy was talking about you."

Seraphina wanted to contradict him, to say that he was wrong in judgement. But as she saw the look in his eyes, she realized that he believed his words just as much as his very own existence.

"How can-?" She was at a complete loss, her mind was racing with dozens of thoughts and questions, trying desperately to get a hold on the shock that she had just received.
