I woke up to find myself in a strange world, filled with magic. It's called the Stir, and it has four continents. The one I'm in is called Phin.
In Stir, everyone possesses a certain level of magic power, which we call mana. The more mana one has, the stronger their magic abilities are. There are five ranks of talent, with Rank 1 being the lowest and Rank 5 being the highest. I, myself, am a Rank 4 wizard, which I am pretty proud of.
The kingdom we live in is called the Kingdom of Falcon, ruled by the Falcon family. However, the real power lies with the Lions Empire, which rules over all the kingdoms in Phin. The Emperor's rank is unknown, but the King of Falcon Kingdom is a Rank 5 wizard, which is pretty impressive.
As for education, there is a prestigious magic academy in the capital city of the Falcon Kingdom. The Headmaster of the academy is a Peak Rank 4 wizard, and all the teachers are at Rank 3 wizards. It's a dream for many aspiring wizards to attend this academy and become stronger.
I couldn't help but feel excited about the prospect of studying at the magic academy and becoming an even stronger wizard.
As I sat in the assembly hall of the academy, listening to the Headmaster's speech, I couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and nervousness wash over me. The Headmaster was talking about how talent alone wasn't enough to succeed as a wizard, and that we needed to have a strong will to achieve greatness.
He went on to mention King Charle Falcon, who despite having only a talent level of rank 3, had managed to become a rank 5 wizard before the age of 100. This was a testament to the fact that hard work and determination were just as important as natural talent.
The Headmaster then announced that we would be taking a test of will in a week's time, and that we needed to be prepared for it. In the meantime, we would be instructed on how to sense the magical energies around us, a fundamental skill that all wizards needed to master.
I sat there, absorbing every word the Headmaster said, and feeling a newfound sense of purpose and determination. I knew that I had the talent, but now I understood that it was only a small part of what was needed to succeed. I was ready to put in the hard work and dedication required to become a great wizard.
I tried to sense mana on the first day of our training, but I failed. I couldn't feel any trace of mana in my body. It was frustrating, but I didn't give up. I kept on trying, and on the second day, I finally felt something.
It was a faint sensation, but it was there. I could sense a small amount of mana flowing through my body. I was ecstatic. I had made progress, and that was all that mattered.
Fatty Jin, on the other hand, had sensed mana on the third morning, which was pretty impressive. I felt a twinge of jealousy, but I was happy for my friend. He had worked hard, and he deserved it.
We spent the rest of our time practicing how to sense mana. We would meditate and focus on the flow of mana in our bodies. It was a difficult process, but we didn't give up.
On the fourth day, the headmaster announced that the Test of Will would be conducted the next day. We were all nervous but excited at the same time.
The Test of Will was a test of mental strength. It was a test to see if we had what it takes to become a wizard. The headmaster had told us that being talented was not enough. We needed a strong will to succeed.
