"Close the door." I ordered when she stepped into my study, I wanted no one disruptions during our discussion. I pushed some files aside and slanted myself next to the table, arms and legs crossed.

Once she closed the door, Daphne sauntered over to me, "Davien, I'm sorry for acting that way earlier, I…I just didn't want you to make a mistake." She said and searched my face for my reaction to that.

But I wasn't going to say anything, not until this whole misunderstanding was dealt with. Daphne took my silence as a go-ahead and inched closer, "I truly believe that Alice is innocent. I asked around, and the pack seems to love and trust her. It seems to cruel to punish her over…him."

Daphne, who I pegged as shy and reserved, went on to explain, "I don't want to say this, but I think you need to hear it. I think, that the reason why you're lashing out on Alice, is because your ex mate, Kian had a problem with her."
