The choice wasn't as simple as I would've liked it to be. Mainly because each choice was a manifestation of Davien's and Kian's deepest wish, and it was exactly the same as choosing between Davien and Kian.

If I went with the safest option and had the child aborted, the success rate of the procedure would be twenty percent higher. However, due to the damage already caused to his womb, it would be next to impossible for Kian to ever be able to get pregnant again.

With or without treatment.

Whereas, if I decided to take the risk and conduct the surgery with the child still in his womb, the procedure would be harder on Kian's body and cause him a load of physical and mental strain. But that withstanding, it was clear how beneficial it would be for Kian and Davien if it was a success.

It was a gamble that I wasn't confident on winning.
