Roxana's First Order

"W-What?"

Upon hearing Roxana's bold request, Julius and Camilla stood up from their seats.

When The Duke of Oberon was overcome by anger, the fire magic inside his body would explode, making the surrounding environment hotter.

"What did you just say?!" shouted Julius.

Roxana brushed her hair back as the temperature in the room rose drastically. Her ocean-blue eyes stared straight at Julius, making it seem like Julius was facing the fury of the waves hidden behind Roxana's eyes.

"I want you to die for me, Father." Roxana then glanced at Camilla. "That goes for you too, Mother."

BRAK!

Camilla shoved back her chair and slammed her fist against the dinner table, making plates and glasses fall onto the floor.

"Roxana, have you lost your mind?!" asked Camilla.

Roxana smiled. "Maybe."

After all, there was no way anyone could retain their sanity after dying miserably five times.

She then walked over to Camilla and stood right before her mother. "Mother, didn't you say earlier that my rights are in your hands as long as you live?"

Roxana brought her lips to Camilla's ears and whispered, "Therefore, I wish for you both to die so that I can have my freedom."

"Roxana! Do you realize that your words are a threat to the Duke?! You'll get the death penalty if you dare to threaten us!" Julius shouted.

Roxana asked Julius, "Are you afraid of me, Father?"

THUMP. THUMP.

For some reason, Julius' heart beat very fast when he heard Roxana's cold voice. The look in his daughter's eyes also made his back feel cold despite his fire magic.

"Afraid? How could I be afraid of you?" Julius clutched his chest. He tried to calm his heartbeat as he said, "You don't even have magic as powerful as the Oberons, so how could you possibly kill me?!"

"Are you sure about that, Father?" Roxana raised the wine bottle with the carved phoenix in front of Julius. "Do you know what ingredients I put in this wine?"

Julius' heartbeat suddenly quickened to the point where he was short of breath. His legs started weakening, and he dropped his knees to the floor.

At that moment, Julius could feel the cold sweat breaking out of his forehead as he realized something was wrong with his body.

"Julius! What happened to you?" Camilla immediately ran toward Julius when she saw her husband unable to stand up.

Instead of answering his wife's question, Julius directed his pupils upwards, staring at Roxana with a piercing gaze. He gritted his teeth, and his face filled with redness as the anger inside him grew more and more explosive.

"What have you done to me?!" shouted Julius.

Roxana raised the wine bottle high up, then tilted the bottle until the red liquid spilled onto the floor.

"I put poison in this drink."

Julius and Camilla widened their eyes when they heard Roxana's words. Both of them hurriedly moved away from the wine that now littered the floor in front of them.

"You! You are such an insolent child!" Camilla shouted, "Don't say nonsense! If it really is poison, why am I still fine?!"

"Because the reaction of the poison will be stronger when the drinker uses magic." Roxana knelt before Julius. "Father, the more you try to bring out your magic, the faster you will die."

"Then, Mother, you don't have to worry. After five minutes, the poison in your body will also react even if you don't use magic."

Roxana raised the corners of her lips as she saw Camilla's face gradually turned pale. For the first time in Roxana's life, she could see that her mother was afraid of her.

"Soldier! Catch her! Arrest that brat now and force her to give the antidote!" Camilla shouted frantically.

Before the soldiers could move, Roxana had already shouted, "There is no antidote for the poison!"

Roxana then lowered her voice and patted Camilla on the shoulder. "Therefore, Mother, don't bother to catch me because you'll surely die in the end."

Camilla's pupils twitched erratically. She staggered back from Roxana's presence as she suddenly felt that her daughter looked so horrible in her eyes.

"Julius! Do something!" Camilla shouted.

Julius clenched his hands tightly, and he tried not to let his magic out as he didn't want the toxic reaction in his body to get worse.

"Kill her and bring a healer over here!" shouted Julius.

As soon as Roxana intended to kill him openly, Julius no longer regarded the woman before him as his daughter but as a vile criminal trying to destroy a noble family.

Several soldiers raised their rifles simultaneously while others took out their swords from their sheaths.

From her head to her feet, not a single part of her body escaped the aim of their rifles.

However, they didn't expect Roxana to show no fear at all.

She stood still before the soldiers, her eyes looking straight at them and her demeanor as calm as a lake puddle. Roxana's demeanor somehow made the soldiers tense up, as if they suspected she was hiding something dangerous.

BANG.

A soldier pulled the trigger after he aimed at Roxana's head. The bullet moved quickly, pierced the wind, and was about to shoot Roxana's head.

However, just before the bullet touched Roxana, a black cat jumped in front of her.

As the black cat landed his feet on the floor, he placed the bullet he had been holding in his teeth into Roxana.

"What the hell is going on?!" shouted the soldier.

"The cat is holding the bullet!"

Damian directed his eyes toward Roxana, then asked, "Roxie, what should I do with them?"

Roxana replied simply, "Kill them all."

Damian raised the corners of his lips, giving the cat a ghastly appearance. "As you wish, My Lady."

"The cat! The cat is talking!"

The soldiers stepped back as they witnessed an anomaly. They were used to seeing many magical beasts roaming Vithia, but none of them could speak.

While the cat before them didn't even look like a magical beast, but he had abilities above the average magical beast.

When the soldiers were still overwhelmed by confusion, black smoke began to surround the dining hall, making it difficult for the soldiers to see.

Amongst the darkness, they could only see glowing red eyes. The figure of the cat with red light in his eyes slowly transformed into a tall man wearing a black robe.

His figure merged with the darkness, bringing a terror that made the soldiers unable to stop trembling to the point that they failed to hold their weapons properly.

"My Lady, can you do me a favor?" Damian bent his back so that he could lock eyes with Roxana.

Before Roxana could answer, he placed his hand in front of Roxana's eyes, then made her close her eyes.

"Close your eyes until I ask you to open them." Damian whispered beside her ears, "The scenery will not be suitable for you."

Roxana only nodded in reply, as she was also not very interested in witnessing the bloody scene created by a demon.

Dozens of gunshots that deafened Roxana's ears rang out, followed by the shrill shouts of the soldiers.

Vaguely, Roxana could also hear the sounds of bones cracking, flesh tearing, and drops of blood flowing onto the floor.

"No! Please, I want to live!"

"Let me go!"

"Demon! He is a demon!"

The commotion in the dining room provoked the rest of the soldiers to come over, but they immediately regretted their decision once confronted by the gruesome situation.

Once the soldiers entered the room, Damian did not allow them to walk away.

"Arghhh, help me!"

The shrill sound of shouting made Roxana furrow her brow. "It's too noisy."
