TEST

I woke up and got dressed for school, just like every other mundane day. The only difference from yesterday was that today was the last day before winter break, and I was eager to get out of high school.

It was my first year of high school. Although I'd like to say that my first year was wonderful, it was actually terrible. I lacked social standing. So all the girls ignored me. And I was picked on by all the boys.

My only means of escape were books. I equally enjoyed reading all book genres, including manhwa, manga, and comics. I loved reading about the main characters and getting sucked into the stories. I loved them.

Because of my excitement over the rumors that Naruto was getting a reboot, I spent the entire previous night re-reading the manga.

I was therefore exhausted today as I walked to school, and I didn't see any cars when I came to a stop light. So instead of pressing the walk button, I decided to simply walk it.

I was so worn out from not sleeping that I didn't see the approaching truck until after it had already hit me.

All I could think about as I was bleeding to death from the truck's impact was how miserable my life was.

If even one person wept after my death, I'd be surprised. Because I was an orphan and grew up alone, I never really learned how to interact with the people around me, which contributed to the lonely experience that you might refer to as my life. Fuck Is this really how it ends?

Screw my life.

Something strange occurred as I inhaled what would likely be my final breath.

I awoke in an empty room. The first question that came to mind was, 'Where the hell am I?' I could see nothing, as far as I could tell.

I peered behind me to see if anything was there. I was startled when I saw what was behind me, and I jumped. Behind me stood a tall, strong Asian man with shoulder-length, straight blonde hair.

He had no clothing other than a white robe that hid his powerful physique.

I yelled, "Who the hell are you?" upon seeing him, to which he replied, "I'm the god of creation."

When he said that, I was shocked and began to freak out, saying, "What a god, huh?" You're a fake; who are you, and where am I?" before I could finish my ramblings of fear.

I was interrupted by the creator god, who said, "I see you're freaking out; this should help you calm down."

I don't know what he did, but as he pointed his hand at me and a bright white glow encircled my body, my emotions began to calm down. It felt as though I had lost all emotion.

The creator then resumed speaking. "Okay, now let me clarify once more. I am the god of creation. I am the man who has the power to ignite the very notion of creation in order to bring things into being. But you can call me the creator, and you, Cain Smith, are dead."

The truck running me over came to mind at that point. "Oh right, I got run over, so I guess that means I'm dead. Is this the afterlife, and if so, where are all the other people?"

"No, this isn't the afterlife; originally, you were going to go there, but I grabbed your soul before it could go to the afterlife," the creator said.

I followed up by asking him, "Why did you prevent me from going to the afterlife?"

Then, in response, he said, "You, Cain, are a candidate to become the new god of creation; I, the creator, have grown weary of doing this job, and I have chosen two candidates to take over for me and rule over all of creation."

Then, as I started to scan the area, I said, "Wait, two, I didn't see anybody else when I was looking around."

"You won't meet them just yet; you must first complete your trials," he retorted.

"Wait, trails, what are you talking about?" I then questioned

Then the creator responded, "The trials are eight tests to determine if you are deserving and strong enough to become the god of creation. I noticed how much you loved the literature of your world when I intercepted you, so I decided to base your trials on it. You will visit eight different works of literature from your world and finish the main story in each one. Along the way, you will gather powers that you will use in a final battle against the other candidate, who will be completing his own version of the trials. But I do realize this is a lot for your tiny human brain to process, so I'll give you some time. However, everything I'm saying is optional, which means you can always turn down my offer to become the god of creation and go to the afterlife, and I would just find another dead soul on their way to the afterlife that would accept my offer."

I remained there for a moment, lost in thought, thinking, 'Okay, it doesn't seem like he's lying about being a god because of his earlier act with the white glow, which I can only assume was him stripping me of my emotions. He is therefore unmistakably a god or other powerful being. And I don't really have a choice but to accept his offer and hope he's telling the truth because I have no idea if the afterlife he's talking about exists, but there's something I need to know for extra assurance.'

I then questioned him, "What would happen if I lost to the other candidate?"

He then said, "If you lost, hmm, to be honest, I can't tell you what would happen as the other candidate would become the new god of creation, so your fate would be in their hands."

'Hmm, this introduces a new, unidentified factor. If I were to lose to them, how am I to know what they might do? My only choice, I guess, is to accept his offer, but if he's being honest, it's not like it's a bad offer. I get to live in eight stories, hopefully some of the ones I've read.'

I then replied to the creator, "Okay, I accept your offer."

My response appeared to have pleased the creator, as he clapped his hands together and said, "Good alright for your first trials. You will journey through the story of Naruto. I will grant you five wishes that will help you in this world. Naturally, I would have to balance out these gifts to prevent you from finishing the main story too quickly. However, I am aware that you must consider your wishes, so I will grant you some time to do so.

I had just finished reading Naruto, so I knew what I wanted for my five wishes. However, I had to ask the author a question first.

I then posed the creator with the question, "Will I Keep My Former Memories?"

He then replied, "Of course."

'This makes it simple then' I then followed up by requesting my five wishes.

Make my new body The twin brother of Naruto Uzumaki

Make my new body the reincarnation of Shivai Outsuki.

Give my new body the gamer system.

A dojutsu that enables me to use any dojutsu should be assigned to my new body.

Allow me to advance to my body turning 5 years old a day after my new body was born.

I specifically requested these wishes for five reasons.

"As for my first wish, if everything goes as I anticipate, Minato should seal half of the nine tails into me rather than himself when he goes to seal the other part into Naruto."

Regarding my second wish, if I am the reincarnation of the most powerful otsutsuki, that ought to bestow upon me a great deal of power.

Then, for my third wish, the gaming system should help me grow stronger faster and earlier than most people.

As for my fourth wish, I would like it to make it simpler for me to acquire dojutsu rather than having to go around simply stealing them from clans and making enemies with them. If this were to happen, I could then have any dojutsu that I desired.

Finally, for my fifth wish, I simply don't want to live as a baby, where I would poop and piss myself for a year or two that is no go for me'

The creator then said, "Okay, that should be easy; I'll balance them out so you're not too powerful. This is goodbye for now until you enter this world we will lose all communication" as he then snapped his finger

When the creator did whatever he did, it felt like my soul was being torn from my body. I was in agonizing pain until the pain subsided

At which point I found myself walking toward a light at the end of a tunnel when I reached the end of the tunnel. My ears were bombarded with noise, and everything in front of me became hazy and bright red.

When my vision began to clear, I recognized the face in front of me as Minato Namikaze, the Fourth Hokage, whom I had grown familiar with from binge-watching Naruto.

'Oh my God, it's the fourth hokage, Minato, also known as the yellow flash. The creator wasn't telling lies. Holy sh*t, it looks like everything the creator said was true. However, at this moment, it doesn't really matter because the second-greatest hokage, in my opinion, is standing right in front of me. I have had many dreams about meeting him. What would I say or what I would do? I really wish I wasn't in a newborn body so I could start talking to him right away. He has always been a favorite of mine and is unquestionably my second favorite character after Naruto. Where the heck is Naruto, by the way?'

I turned my head to look for Naruto at that point, but all I saw were Minato and the midwives.

I then turned to see Kushina, who appeared to be still pushing something out of her private area.

I felt humiliated by what I had seen, so I quickly returned my gaze to Minato. The reason Naruto wasn't present was then clear to me.

'Oh, Naruto must not have been born yet, making me the older twin. I don't think it's that bad; it would let me boss around Naruto, so I don't really have a problem with that.'

While trying to avoid looking at Kushina as she continued to push Naruto away, I was lost in thought as I stared into Minato's eyes."You must really like me because your eyes haven't left me for a second," Minato said as he looked down at me.

'Don't get me wrong, I mean. I like you, but I'm not staring at you because I like you; I'm just afraid to look at your wife's private area because a baby head is poking out of it.'

Minato was gazing into my eyes as I was gazing into mine when the midwife tapped his shoulder and said, "Lady Kushina is finishing delivering the second baby and would like to see the first baby."

Minato then replied, "OK," and escorted me to the birthing table, where I was placed next to a crying Naruto and an exhausted Kushina.

After giving me and Naruto a quick glance, Kushina said, "We didn't expect twins; we only came up with one name. How do we decide which one to call Naruto and what to name the other baby?"

After looking for a while, Minato began to scratch his chin before finally saying, "I guess we can name the baby with yellow hair Naruto. Given that his hair color resembles that of the protagonist of the sensei Jiraiya book, as for the baby with red hair, we can name him Menma, so their names match each other."

Kushina then turned her head to face me and Naruto and said, "Naruto, Menma. I like it. We finally meet Naruto and Menma."

I then said to myself, 'Okay, good. They gave Naruto his original name, and they gave Menma to me. It would take some getting used to, but I don't really hate it. It also seems like my new body has red hair.'

After the two midwives arrived and removed me and Naruto from the delivery table, they informed Kushina that they would have more time to spend with the two of us later.

Kushina stopped the midwife as she was leaving and asked, "Lady Biwako, is it okay if Menma isn't crying? I'm concerned because he hasn't cried this entire time, while Naruto has."

I then said to myself, 'Shit, I forgot to cry when I was born. Do I need to start now? No, they'll get suspicious if I do it now.' as I was pondering how I could escape this predicament.

Lady Biwako calmly responded to Kushina, "No, everything is fine. I've delivered a lot of babies who don't cry like Baby Menma here."

After that, Kushina gave an "ok" response as Lady Biwako and the other midwife continued to leave with Naruto and me.

Minato then said, "OK, Kushina. I understand what you just went through, but we need to reseal the nine tails,"

as he then placed his hand over Kushina's abdomen and prepared to seal before being distracted by two cries and turning to see the two midwives lying dead on the ground. He then shouted, "Lady Biwako, Taji," as he turned to see a masked man holding Naruto and me.

'Dammit, I didn't think Obito would arrive so soon.'

The masked man then said, "Fourth hokage, step away from the jinjuriki; otherwise, I'll kill these babies," as Kushina groaned in agony from the still-open seal.

Minato then yelled "kushina" as the masked man then spoke up again, "Get away from the Jinjuriki; don't you care about what happens to your kids?"

as he then squeezed Naruto, to which Naruto cried out in pain, to which Minato said, "Wait, calm down," to which the masked man retorted, "I'm as cool as can be."

He then threw me and Naruto into the air and leaped into the air with two kauni pointing at us, prompting a kushina to shout "Naruto, Menma" before the masked man could stab me and Naruto.

Minato then jumped into the air and caught us, and landed on the wall. To which the mask man responded, "I must say yellow flash, you are fast, but let's see how you handle this."

As He then landed on his feet and made a sign to explode the explosion tags that were wrapped around the robes that covered me and Naruto

When Minato and Kushina noticed, Kushina yelled "Minato" as he teleported away to a shack while taking off both of the robes off of me and Naruto, causing the shack he teleported to to explode.

Luckily, he had already left by jumping through the door. He then landed using his body to ensure neither me nor Naruto would be hurt by the explosion.

He then turned to look at me and Naruto, and when he saw that we were both okay, he then breathed a sigh of relief. After he used the flying raijin to teleport us to a safe house,

He then put us both down on the bed at the safe house and told us, "Naruto, Menma, don't worry, you guys will be safe here," as he then teleported away.

As I lay next to a crying Naruto, I thought to myself, 'I wonder if I can open my system with my mind,' and then chanted status in my head. My stats then appeared

'The drawbacks aren't too severe, so I should be able to manage, but it appears that I will have to defeat the outsuki earlier than I had anticipated.'

While I was thinking about the disadvantage, Minato teleported back in with Kushina and placed her next to us.

When Kushina saw us, she gave us a hug while crying and said, "Menma, Naruto." I then used my observe skill to assess Kushina's skill.

Kushina [Tier 12]

It seems like that is one of the differences from the original system; I suppose it interprets other people's levels as tiers.

Kushina then said, "Minato... thank you," and as she watched him put on his hokage robe, she added, "Good luck." Minato then replied, "I'll be right back." I then had a thought.

"Wait, I have to see Minato Tier before he departs," I quickly activated my observer before Minato teleported away.

Minato [ tier 25 ]

'Tier 25 must be pretty high if that's what Minato is in his prime' I then decide to give my brain a rest as I wait for the battle between Minato and Obito to end as I lay there in kushina arms as she cried I couldn't help but get sad I never had a mom as when I was born my parents immediately put me up for adoption so I never knew them I'm hoping that my presence here will influence something about Kushina and Minato's deaths, that would let them live because to be honest, I'd like to have a family in this life.'

As I laid there contemplating what I could do to assist Minato and Kushina ,Minato teleported in and took us to the location of the Nine Tails.

'Dammit My presence here is meaningless. Everything is going like in cannon.'

Minato then said, "I must immediately put up a barrier."

Kushina then looked at Minato and said, "I can still do it, Minato," as five golden chakra hands shot out of her back and entangled the nine tails that was behind us. Then, with worry in his voice, Minato uttered "kushina".

Once more speaking, Kushina said, "I'm going to drag the nine tails with me to my death... so that we can postpone the nine tails' return... With the little chakra I have left, I'll be able to save everyone... thank you for everything you've done for me Minato"

Minato then said "Kushina... It's because of you that I'm the fourth Hokage; you made me a man, and you made me the father of these children, and yet"

Kushina then interpreted him. "Minato, don't give me that look. I'm happy that you loved me, and today... is our children's birthday if I were to imagine me alive and our future together with Naruto and Menma as a family... I can't see us having anything but a happy life,"

"If I were allowed to have just one regret, it would be that I won't be able to watch Naruto and Menma grow up," Kushina continued as Minato began to cry. "How I wish I had been there to see that."

as Minato then said "kushina there is no reason for you to die with the nine tails preserve what chakra you have left for a reunion with our children I'll seal all your remaining chakra in Naruto and Menma it will be apart of eight signed sealed and as for the nine tails I'll seal one half into Naruto as I don't have enough chakra to perform the seal twice. I'll have to seal the other half into Menma with the reaper death seal into Menma with the reaper death seal. I know what you want to say, Kushina, but remember what master Jiraiya said about the world upheaval and the calamities that would follow, two things were confirmed for me today: the masked man who attacked us today is an harbinger of disaster, and the ones who will stop is our children, the infants whose godfather is Jiraiya sensei they will open the future as Jinchurikis. I don't know why, but I'm convinced of this.

as Minato places me and Naruto in front of Kushina, Kushina tried to stop him by saying, "But Minato…"

But it was too late. Minato had already started to make the death reaper seal.

As He then summoned the death shinigami and said, "Let's put our trust in these children; they are sons after all. When I finish sealing the nine tails with the reaper death seal into Menma, I'll seal some of your chakra into Naruto and Menma. If they try to take control of their half of the nine tails power, I want you to help them out."

Kushina then replied with "ours sons," as she cringed in pain and looked at me and Naruto, "their our sons, which is why I don't want them to put such a terrible burden on them... also why the reaper death seal wasn't something else; there's no need for you to die. I want you to stay by as Naruto and Menma grow up and protect them. I don't get it. to keep the balance of the tailed beasts for the sake of the nation and the village. Why must our children be sacrificed? Why must you sacrifice yourself?"

Minato then responded with, "To forsake one's nation and one's village is the same as forsaking one's child. Your own homeland was destroyed, so you of all people should know the harsh life that awaits those without a country besides our family are Shinobi, and finally, if I were to live, I'm no match for you. Even though you won't have much time with them, there are some things as their mother that you can tell them things I can't, and I will gladly die for our sons; it is my duty as a father."

As the shinigami arm passed through my body and attached itself to the nine tails, reeling its arms into my body and sealing the nine tails into me, Minato then summoned a bed and placed me and Naruto on it.

once the nine tails realized what Minato was going to do so he launched his claws at me and Naruto but before he could connect Minato and Kushina jumped in front of it to stop it from hitting us with their bodies

Once they had the nine tails claw through their bodies Minato said, "I said that this is the father's duty." Kushina then replied with "then the more, since I'm their mother… This is the first time I've lost an argument, okay, I understand that you're determined to do this'' Minato said "Thank you, Kushina."

as he then summoned a toad as he then told the toad, "Gerotora, I'm going to give you the sealing formula key. Take it immediately to master Jiraiya and store it away."

The toad then said, "You have my word; I confirm the key is in my possession, and now I'm off." As the toad then left with the key,

Minato then said, "I'm going to start the eight-signed seal, but it'll be a while before we see them again, so let's tell them what we want to say" Kushina then said

"Naruto and Menma Don't fight with each other.. Don't be picky.. Eat lots and grow strong.. Make sure that you bathe every day and stay warm.. Also.. don't stay up late.. You guys need lots of sleep.. And make friends.. You guys don't need a lot of friends.. Just a few.. Ones you can really, really trust.. I wasn't very good at it, but keep up with your studies and practice your ninjutsu hard.. Remember that everyone has strengths and weaknesses.. So don't get too depressed if y'all can't do something well.. Respect your teachers and upperclassmen at the Academy.. Oh, and this is important.. It's about the Three Prohibitions for a Shinobi. Be extra careful about lending and borrowing money.. Put your mission wages into your savings account.. No alcohol until you guys are twenty.. Too much can ruin your health, so drink in moderation.. Another prohibition is women.. I'm a woman, so I don't know too much about this, but.. All you need to remember is that this world is made up of men and women.. So it's only natural to take an interest in girls.. But just don't get hooked on bad women.. Find someone just like me.. Speaking of the Three Prohibitions, be wary of Jiraiya Sensei, you know.. Naruto, menma From now on, you're going to face lots of pain and hardship.. Be true to yourself.. Have a dream and have the confidence to make that dream come true.. There's so much.. Oh, there is so much more that I want to pass on to you both.. I wish I could stay with you longer.. I love you both, Minato. I'm sorry. I used up your time."

And just like in cannon, Minato finished it off by saying, "Naruto, Menma, my words to you guys... well, I guess your talkative mom said it all. ''Minato then sealed the nine tails inside of Naruto.

As the third hokage entered the barrier, Minato and Kushina passed away.

"Dammit, I hope something would have changed. I really didn't want to be an orphan in this life too."

A screen then appeared in front of my face.

As I then blunk I woke up to a scene that scared me. I was in a street on my ass, and naruto was bleeding from his head as laid in front of me and we were surrounded by a bunch of people with sticks and torches
