chapter fifteen - Hotheaded Lisa Ignored

In the morning, Rachael emerged from her room and noticed Lisa leaving for school. Despite Rachael's attempt to call her, Lisa Ignored her, not sparing a glance.

"She's so Hotheaded and never listens," Rachael muttered to herself while pouring coffee into a cup.

Lisa's P.O.V.

In school, I encountered the first people to welcome me, and unfortunately, it was this nutjob.

 "Great, just great," I thought

"Welcome back, beauty. Why didn't you come to school yesterday?" Inigo asked.

"None of your business," I replied.

"I'm sure you were scared of me," he proudly stated, making me roll my eyes.

"In your dreams. I'll never be scared of you, not in this life or the next," I retorted, but he smiled.

"Okay, no problem. We'll see about it," he said, still smiling.

His smile sent goosebumps crawling on my skin as I walked away, looking back to ensure nothing was happening behind me, yet everything felt normal- like the calm before the storm.

About to turn a corner, I heard Inigo call out.

"Phew… I was beginning to wonder why everywhere felt calm. I knew this fool would never have let me walk away," I thought as I turned and smiled at him.

"What do you want?" I asked, prepared for whatever he had in mind.

"The truck disposing trash will soon be on its way to the incinerator," he said

I was actually disappointed, expecting something more.

"When did you become a messenger? I think you're getting old in plotting. Your tactics are too outdated," I remarked, walking away but not failing to notice him smiling.

Either something is about to happen, or he's just a fool.
