What's wrong with the script?

The Alphas are joining us

Murmurs arose in the class at the words of the teacher.

"This is a temporary change. The Alphas will return to their building when their classes are renovated." She grinned, hoping to appease us.

"Why must they join our class? They have more than 2 study buildings in the school. Why must they come over? We don't want the Alphas!" Ray yelled.

"Yes, we don't want them." The others agreed with him.

"You don't have to be—" Mrs Buttercup glanced at the door. "They are here already. Be certain to make them feel at home."

*******

Despite our protests, the Alphas still joined our class. Though the teacher was quick to separate us from them, the omegas still felt insecure.

Me?

I didn't care.

Storm and his group of bullies weren't among the Alphas who joined my class, so it did not bother me.

The only Alpha I wanted to avoid at all costs was Storm. I didn't care about the others, since they weren't as relevant as the backstabbing Alpha.

Class was long over, but Ray and I stayed back to complete the assignment the teacher gave.

It was quite tedious to carry the books back to the dorm. That was why we always do our homework in class.

"Are you coming for lunch?" Ray asked as he packed his books.

"Yeah," I rose from my chair and stretched my muscles.

Fan went off to a place only he was aware of. Not that I was complaining.

With that stupid system away, I was free to do as I please.

"Let's go, then. I don't trust those damned Alphas who think the world got formed from their butts." Ray slung his backpack on his back and took mine.

"Thanks." I grinned at Ray, "You are darling."

"Hey, did you hear that the Betas were joining us?" Ray asked, with his eyes sparkling like rare gems.

"Betas?" I furrowed my brows.

What the damned hell is wrong with the script?

In the comic, the academy of the Betas was only mentioned because their school was a bit farther from the one I was currently studying.

And should the betas join us, doesn't it mean that the plot is changing?

But that couldn't be possible, since Fan was adamant about keeping the script in the same line as the current comic.

"What's wrong with you? Why did you suddenly stop?" Ray narrowed his eyes at me.

"It's nothing. I—" I blinked. "What day is it?" I turned to face Ray, who seemed startled.

"It's the fourth day of the week, what's—"

"I need to use the restroom. Order anything you get, for me. I will be right back."

"I will escort you, Brys." Ray tried to follow me.

"And what will happen should the Alphas take all the good food?" I narrowed my eyes at him. "I won't be long, I promise. Order something for me. I will be right back!"

I raced out of there before he could think to stop me.

In the comic, on the fourth day of the week, Storm and his group bullied an omega, which led to his death.

Storm and his bullies weren't the ones who killed him. Rather, he committed suicide because of the bullies.

I just need to stop things from escalating. There was no way I will willingly allow the omega to die if I can do anything to help him.

I won't be like the owner of this body.

Brys was in the toilet when the incident happened. However, instead of standing up for the omega or reporting the incident to a teacher, he kept his mouth shut.

He never spoke up even when the said omega committed suicide.

I hastened towards the bathroom.

"Where do you think you are heading to?" Fan blocked my path.

"Get the damned hell out of my way." I glared at my stupid system.

"It seems you love been punished, Brys. Allow the plot to play out on its own. They are not real." Fan folded his arms, "you need to stop poking your nose where you are not needed. They are not as real as you are."

"Not real?" I scoffed at Fan. "How can you tell me they are not real when I'm among them?" I shoved his little body to the side.

"You will get punished again if you try to go against the script! Allow everything to play out," he tried to make me stop, but I didn't heed him.

I reached the door to the bathroom and tried to open it.

Almost immediately, the familiar stroke of the cane I was expecting, hit me.

I gritted my teeth from the pain, but I didn't fall to my feet.

The more punishments I get, the more my body gets used to it.

I took a deep, steady breath as I tried to override the pain.

"Stop!" Fan held my hand and prevented me from opening the door. "You are only going to hurt yourself, Brys. Allow the plot to play out on its own. Only then will you be able to return home."

"I will be damned if I allow that stupid Alpha to get the upper hand. I will avenge all those he hurt. He won't get away with it." I turned the doorknob and entered the restroom.

However, the scene I expected to see, wasn't the one I saw.

Storm was the only one in the restroom. There was no sign of Theo and the other bullies. Not even the omega was in sight.

Could it be?

I took a step back as I furiously shook my head.

What's wrong with the plot?

Why does it seem like the plot was changing on its own?

Storm turned the moment I entered.

He furrowed his brows before a smile graced his face.

"If it's not the clumsy omega." He took a step towards me. "What are you doing here? Don't tell me you are stalking me?" He took a step towards me.

"Don't flatter yourself." I gritted my teeth. "I'm not here —"

"Boss!" I heard Theo's familiar voice.

"What's wrong?" Storm turned towards the door.

"What are you still doing there? The break is almost over."

"I'm coming," Storm said to him before he turned to me. "See you later, omega." He winked at me before he left.

"What just happened?" I slid down the door as I wondered what the hell just occurred. "Why is the script changing?"

"Weren't you expecting it to do that when you were hell-bent on changing it?" Fan folded his arms as he glared at me.

"But it's too much!" I tugged my hair. "How the hell am I supposed to know how things will turn out if the script is changed."

"Just follow the previous script, and—"

"Damn, your previous script!"
