You are mine

I can't tell how long I walked through the bushy part until I got out into the cleared path of the forest.

As I walked, I made certain to check for signs of the things the teachers hid, this way, should I get three, I only need to look for the finish line.

I took out a snack from the backpack Ray packed for me — God, bless that soul.

Who knows what I would have done had he not helped me?

The farther I went, the clearer the forest became, until there were only a few trees around me.

There was no sign of the others, which is understandable because of the tracks we chose.

It's possible for us not to meet until the end of the contest.

The sun beat down hard on me, and I had to change out of the clothing I'm putting on. I wore the sleeveless polo and stuffed the other into the bag.

I walked until the sun began to set. However, I was lucky to see a cave not too far from where I stood.

"Thank you, Goddess!"

I hastened towards the cave, only to freeze when I heard hurried steps behind me. I didn't immediately turn until the sound stopped.

"Who are you?" I turned, expecting to see someone, but instead, I was met with the silent forest behind me.

Yet, I was convinced there was someone out there. Probably a little furry creature.

"Hello?"

I called out once more but got no reply.

The soft wind blew on the leaves, creating a little sound.

And that was the only sound I heard.

Could it be that my mind made up the footsteps I heard not too long ago?

Perhaps, I imagined it.

I turned towards the cave I found.

Once more, I heard the sound of footsteps.

This time, I didn't waste any time. I turned, to see the staring Alpha from the Howl Academy.

"What are you doing here?" I glared at him. "Last I checked, this wasn't your path."

"True. I was looking for you, Omega." He smirked as he closed the distance between us.

I folded my arms and narrowed a glare at him. "What do you mean by that? Why are you following me?"

"Our academy doesn't have Omegas as cute as you. Your purple eyes are what drew me in. I've never seen such an unusual shade before."

"Pity. If only you were on Earth, all you would have done is get a purple contact." I rolled my eyes at him.

"What does that mean?" He scowled.

"It means I don't care." I cautiously stepped back.

"Well, you will care very soon, Omega. Because I intend to mark you and make you mine." He closed the distance between us.

I scoffed at his words. "And who told you that I swing that way? I will overlook this if you turn now and return the way you came. Else—"

"Else, what?" He chuckled. "You are an Omega, darling. You are no ma—"

I kicked him between his legs, stunning him.

"You bitch!"

Almost immediately, he released his stupid pheromones.

I gagged at the pungent smell of Durian.

"Do you like my scent, Omega?" He smirked.

I covered my nose as I tried to fight off his scent.

Though it wasn't as strong and crippling as that of Storm, I felt like there was something off about him — well, that's when you exclude how pungent the scent of his pheromone is.

I felt like vomiting, yet, I couldn't move. It seemed like I was locked in place by his scent.

"I will have you as mine, Omega. Your strawberries scent will complement mine very well." He touched my right cheek, smiling like one who had won a contest.

I felt the urge to slap his hand off my cheek, but it was difficult.

The more I tried to fight off his pheromone control, the more difficult it was.

As an Omega, my DNA is wired to bow to Alphas. It demands we kneel to them and bare our necks in submission to the powers of the Alphas.

"Do you feel hot?" He whispered.

Almost immediately, it felt like my body temperature increased.

No.

Something doesn't feel right.

Storm has countlessly asserted his authority over me by using his pheromones on me, but I've never felt as hot as I felt now.

"What are you doing to me?" I gritted out.

Sweat trickled down my face as I continued to fight his pheromones.

If I didn't get out of his hold, I might die. Not because of his onslaught of pheromones, but the scent.

Goddess help me.

His Durian scent is so suffocating that I might die from it.

"What does it seem like I'm doing to you, Omega?" He chuckled. "I will make you mine. That's a promise." He ran a hand through my hair. "Such beautiful hair of yours. I've never met an Omega as cute as you are."

"Fuck you!"

I hate being weak. And right now, I'm more than weak.

If only I can get my human body back, I would have kicked him.

"Brys!"

Fan appeared immediately, looking a bit winded.

Though I was still angry with him, I felt a bit relieved to see him.

He touched me on the nose.

Almost immediately, the smell stopped. Though I still felt hot, I was able to straighten.

"What did you do?" I murmured.

"I helped you." He shrugged. "That's the least I can do, to keep you safe. You need to complete the assignment and leave, so I can level up. I can't have you dying on me." He pursed his lips.

"Thank you."

Despite knowing, I won't do things the way he wanted me to, I won't deny that I'm grateful for his help.

The Alpha looked shocked when he saw me straighten.

"What?" He took a step back. "Why aren't you…." He trailed off, with a confused expression on his face.

"Surprised?" I chuckled.

I made to take a step, but something sharp hit me on my stomach. The pain was much. It left me gasping as I doubled over, with my hands on my stomach.

I gritted my teeth.

The Alpha chuckled. "Seems it's working." He made to touch me, but I slapped his hand off me.

"What's happening to me?" I turned to Fan, who looked as confused as I was.

"I don't know!" He looked like he was losing it.

"Stop fighting me, Omega. Most things are meant to be. You are mine. And I will make certain of that." The Alpha made to touch me once more, but I punched him in the stomach.

I staggered back when yet another wave of pain hit me. This time, it was more painful than the first.

I fell to the ground as a groan tore from my throat.

My body felt weak and hot.

"Give up, Omega. You can't fight it."
