He changed

We all stood in front of the principal as his eyes racked through us. This is the first time I have been to his office. All our meetings have been in his room.

I have never had the opportunity —not that I was asking for it — to be here.

There isn't anything different between his office and that of the other teachers. Aside from the shelves of books, that's it. And let's not forget the parrot in a cage next to his table.

The beautiful parrot with yellow and blue feathers hopped on the cage without saying a word. However, the occasional sigh-like sound he made, was how I knew he was a parrot.

Storm stood on my right, while Ray stood by my left. The other Alphas stood behind us. They looked ready to bolt for the door at the slightest provocation.

I glanced behind me before a smile graced my face. The almighty Alphas of the class are now acting like kids in the presence of the principal. They don't look as Almighty as they always claimed to be.
