A different Storm

"Why are you kind to me? You are not like the other man who looked like he was moments from killing me."

God, I can't forget the pain of having someone tug hard on my hair. That man seemed like he was trying to kill me!

Of course, he wanted to kill me. Who was I kidding?

He shrugged, "I don't have anything against the people of Amal. Pal is that way because his wife was killed by hunters from your kingdom. That was why he bears so much hatred for you. It's not personal."

Of course, it's not personal. Yet, he took it like that, almost killing me before I can start my new task!

The man dragged me down the hall, tugging on my chain, but not hard enough to choke me. The hall was so dark, it took a lot of squinting for me to be able to make out the way, but it didn't seem to be a problem for the wolf leading me.

He walked through the dark halls, like one traipsing around his house, while I trudged behind him, barely escaping hitting my head on the wall.
