"Well, that's just a whole bunch of wicked people right there."
That was Dorothy's first impression of the City of Sin.
With a little princess like Alice leading the way, she and Denisha entered the city quite effortlessly. The city guards dared not interrogate or cause them trouble, yet as they entered, they witnessed firsthand the extortion other folks suffered at the hands of the guards.
The entrance passage, roughly ten meters long, surprisingly had five separate guard checkpoints, each appearing to belong to a different faction. It's a damn rip-off: wanting to get into the city meant coughing up a protection fee five times.
Clearly, not everyone was so docile and compliant, especially those with a nasty temper who resented this exorbitant "Entrance Fee," particularly some who considered themselves somewhat capable.
"I'm bloody broke, what are you going to do about it?"
