Dorothy was a bit stunned; she became anxious.

Father looked at his daughter before him and then spoke.

The Homebody Witch was silent for a moment, then sighed in her heart.
She understood that her old father had ultimately been "Worn and Torn," and that he had willingly allowed himself to be "Worn and Torn."
