Rage and Despair?!

[Day 3]

The door opened to a sight that made Abel's body, that had not been able to move any muscles, shake in rage as he struggled to think or react with a clear mind.

Ms. Emberwing was tied with her wrists behind her back to an infirmary bed's metal frame legs, her blouse being ripped open, exposing the fair white skin underneath, along with her green lace bra covering her modest peaks of flesh.

She looked like she had suffered from having been beaten, having bruises on her kind face, marring her beautiful skin with blackish purple spots.

Her bottom lip was also split open, leaving a line of blood trickling down to her chin, dripping onto the floor, head facing down, cowering and shivering like a frightened animal.

Standing over her were two familiar faces: Aldricht and his goon that had caused Abel to get bitten by the zombies in the first place, looking at Abel with horrified expressions plastered on their detestable faces, as soon as he walked through the doorway fully.

[POV, Ms. Emberwing]

Just before the door opened, Ms. Emberwing was going through one of the worst experiences she had ever experienced in her 27 years of life.

Going back to when the Apocalypse had first begun, Ms. Emberwing was shocked by the voice when she had heard it and was later driven to the floor by the pain of the System's installation.

Once the installation was finished and she had gotten her bearings, after wiping her face and ridding herself of the snot, sweat, and tears covering her face, she remembered that Abel was still out in the hallway.

Afraid for Abel's safety, as he was still injured, she rushed to the door just as the galaxy-colored mist had started to begin permeating her surroundings.

Once she reached the door and opened it, she arrived in time to witness the horrifying sight of three students biting another student.

What was worse was that another two students ran towards a limping student that she recognized as Abel.

Pushing him onto the ground, saying unintelligible words towards him as what she now assumed were three zombies, not students, made their way towards him.

The student that was attacked by the three zombies started to convulse, blackish green veins spreading through his body.

As he stopped convulsing, he started standing up, his vacant white eyes opening up and honing onto the closest living person and walking towards them, this being the crawling Abel.

Eventually the zombies got close enough to him, dropping on top of him, biting him causing a black substance to start encapsulating him.

Though she didn't get the chance to see this, having quickly turned around and closed the door with tears streaming down her face as she dropped to the floor while leaning with her back against the door, covering her face with both hands and trying her best to keep quiet so as not to draw the zombies towards herself.

Later on, during that night while she was trying her best to get the images of the student getting eaten alive out of her head.

Trying at the same time not to think of what had happened with Abel and how helpless she was, not being able to do anything to help him.

As she was struggling with these thoughts, trying her hardest to fall asleep, the door to the Infirmary was opened, followed by the sound of two people whispering clearly trying to keep quiet.

Hearing this, she looked up to notice that it was the two boys that had pushed Abel to the ground earlier that day, infuriating her, causing her to struggle with her natural inclinations to being kind and gentle.

Wanting to lash out and do what they had done to the poor, sweet boy she had gotten to know these past few months from his regular visits to the Infirmary.

As she was going to confront them, she saw a pair of zombies heading towards them through the doorway, triggering her instinct to point towards their backs to warn them.

This led them to scream like two little schoolgirls while slamming the door shut, holding it closed to keep the zombies from getting into their newly found safe haven.

Luckily, the zombies weren't smart enough to know what a doorknob was, so all they could do was scratch upon the door for a few hours until the sun started to creep upon the horizon.

Following which the two zombies abruptly stopped their scratching.

For a few hours silence followed, broken by the random grumbling of a stomach, when suddenly there was the noise of something falling to the ground outside.

This was followed by a wet, squishy, sound as if someone was eating a raw steak with their mouth open, the sounds continued for a couple of hours.

Later on, a crunching noise that made the three in the Infirmary get goosebumps on their skin was heard.

When the sounds outside the door had stopped, it was already 8 p.m., after which there was a brief silence for about 15 minutes until another sound of growling was heard, followed by someone falling to the floor, this time louder, like that of two bodies falling, which was luckily not followed by any sounds of eating.

Deciding that they were all tired, Ms. Emberwing decided that she should get some sleep while sitting on an Infirmary bed farthest away from the door where the two male students were sitting on the floor, thinking that they wouldn't have any interest or courage to do anything to her, coming to regret that decision later.

She was woken up by the feeling of the air against the exposed skin of her stomach. Realizing that something was wrong, she quickly opened her eyes, seeing the two boys frozen from being caught in the act.

When they came back to their senses, they tried holding her down, but she would not let them have their way.

She tried fighting but was suddenly hit in the face by one of the boys with shoulder-length blonde hair. The other boy, following his lead, started to hit her face, causing her lip to split open.

They proceeded to drag her off, then to the foot of the bed, tying her hands to the metal frame with a long strip of ripped bed sheet.

The blonde looked at her with a perverted gaze and licked his lips, saying, "Just now we heard a sound at the door and thought that whatever creature that's outside gets in, we should just enjoy these last moments together, but you just had to ruin it. Now you will have to just watch as we enjoy your body for our last few minutes, or hopefully hours."

The boy scowled with his friend at Ms. Emberwing on the ground, who had her legs tightly shut and her face towards the ground, when suddenly the door opened, and the two boys looked at the silhouette of the figure at the door in shock and fear.
