[Day 3]
---
[POV Abel]
Abel looked at the two scum before his eyes, wanting nothing more than to activate Corrupt, but sadly, they were too close to Ms. Emberwing, who still had her head down, facing the floor.
Quickly, Abel thought of using Corrupts mist form in a different way, creating two tendrils of the weak mist to attack both boys separately; the only problem was the mist's slow speed.
Trying his hardest to make the image within his mind a reality, thinking of two tentacles of mist forming, thinking of them as though they were additional limbs, that also moved at a fast enough speed.
He started to use more and more mana as the mist formed faster and faster, traveling across the ground towards the two human scum.
Luckily, it was still dark and for Abel that was beneficial as the two boys' eyesight wasn't as great as his in the dark light of the early dawn.
This led to two tentacles of dark mist quickly rapping around their feet, with them none the wiser about it.
Only when the mist had already reached their chests and had eaten through their clothes did they start to experience burning pain throughout their bodies.
As the unstable corrupting energies of the mist caused deep wounds to appear all over their bodies as they fought against the superior Constitution of the two boys, Abel quickly used Appraise on each of them to see how much vitality each of them had.

Seeing that their Vitality was lower than his, he made his way towards them quickly thanks to the short distance and the boost in stats.
Before reaching them, he turned off Corrupt, seeing as it had been 10 seconds since the start of the skill, so that he wouldn't run into the risk of depleting his mana by mistake.
As soon as he could reach his hands out to the two boys squatting on the ground and crying in pain, he grabbed them both under their chins, digging his fingers into their wounded cheeks, and activating Wither twice in succession so that he could see the life fade from their eyes and so that they could clearly see the one doing it to them.
When both boys saw Abel's face clearly, they were scared stiff, not knowing what to do until it was too late. Feeling the last vestiges of their life force fade away, sinking into the endless embrace of Death in fear and unwillingness.
(A/N: So, some of you might wonder why sapping only their Vitality kills them since they have so much life, and also what dictates that.
The answer is that Vitality is the foundation of their health points, and their Constitution is an amplifier for that, so if their Vitality is drained, the Constitution means nothing as there is no Vitality to amplify.
This is why Abel can't get any Experience from the enemies he uses Wither to kill, but if he used Wither to take their Strength, he would be able to get some exp unless he uses Usurp on them, obviously.)
Going towards the two bodies to place them in his Inventory, he suddenly felt like he was being pierced in the side by a pair of eyes.
He was only now realizing that Ms. Emberwing had looked up and was now staring at him, but surprisingly enough, there was no fear or disgust in her clear sky-blue eyes; there was only hope, for what, he didn't know, because right now he was panicking inside as he didn't know what to do.
'Omi, can you speak for me since I can't, or am I the only one who can see you?' Abel asked in a panic.
'Yes, to both questions, Master. What do you want me to ask or tell her?' Omi spoke quickly through their connection, seeing that her Master was panicking.
Abel quickly told her what to say to Ms. Emberwing.
---
[POV, Ms. Emberwing]
While Ms. Emberwing was staring at the black eye sockets that held a familiar yet unfamiliar gaze within them of the creature with pitch black shoulder-length hair and dried wrinkled skin.
His face appeared as though someone had tightly wrapped a human skull in saggy skin and left it to dry in the sun without it becoming tanned, leaving it a pale white.
Suddenly there was a movement from behind the creature, which quickly caused her mouth to become agape as what she saw should not exist; it was a fairy!
A real-life fairy with black and green striped hair and black and green pupils wearing a black and green gothic dress was standing, well, flying, in front of the creature, but before she could say anything, a little girl's voice came out of the fairy's fair lips.
"Hello there, Ms. Emberwing, I am Abel's System Fairy, Omi. He told me to tell you that he cannot speak and to ask if he could come close to you to untie your hands if you are not too scared of his new appearance.
He also told me to reassure you that he still has the same memories and personality, and other than being a bit stupid because of how his body changed, he is still the same." Omi said it with a smile and a hint of playfulness in her voice.
Ms. Emberwing came back to her senses at that and replied, with concern and joy visible in her eyes, "Oh! I knew you looked familiar, Abel, with that gaze in your... eyes? Whatever, you also have the same black hair, if not for it being a bit longer.
So, what happened? Are you okay after being bitten by those zombies? I wanted to help, but I knew that I wouldn't have stood a chance against them. I'm sorry for being a coward."
---
[POV, Abel]
'Why did you have to go saying that I was stupid to her?!' Abel said to Omi while squinting at her.
But quickly, he decided to tell Omi what to say in reply to Ms. Emberwing, as he wanted to make his way over to untie Ms. Emberwing's wrists, deciding to deal with Omi later.
Omi, feeling a chill pass through her spine, decided not to delay her Master's orders and to not say anything that would get her into trouble, saying with a cold sweat trickling down her neck, "Master says that it is good to see that you are still treating him the same way as before the change took place and asks if you are okay after being abused by the two scum that he killed."
As Abel was untying her, Ms. Emberwing answered, "You know, if it were before the Apocalypse, and seeing what those two did to you, I would have said you were wrong and that there was another way to solve your issues, but I'm not so sure now...
With everything that's happened and what is to come, we will need to have the resolve and strength to do what needs to be done, just as you have.
To answer your question, though, I'm fine, if not in a little bit of pain. Thank you for worrying."
After he finished untying her, Abel turned away to give her some privacy, but Ms. Emberwing didn't know what he was doing until Omi came and whispered into her ear cheekily, "Your shirt is open."
