[Day 3... Well, at least it's nearly nighttime...]
In the dim corridor, there was a weird moan followed by rapid footsteps that sounded as if someone were trying to get away from a predator.
When seeing the scene, though, you would just see a redhead woman crossing her arms over her supple mounds with teary eyes, while what appeared to be a young teenage boy had his hand outstretched in a grabbing and squeezing motion.
The suppressed giggles of a cheeky little fairy as old as who knows what were heard, infuriating the already embarrassed Abel, who had just pulled his still outstretched hand back.
Turning to the teary-eyed, innocent-looking Ms. Emberwing, Abel apologized to her with a bow so that he didn't make any unnecessary noise, possibly drawing in another freaky zombie.
Abel breathed in through his nose and out through his mouth and turned to carry on walking to the next right turn towards the teachers' lounge while clenching and unclenching his fists and gritting his teeth, frustrated at the little minx of a fairy he was stuck with.
Walking forward while he was fuming with the now red-faced and redheaded teacher, with a cheeky fairy hiding behind her neck, covered by her red hair, following behind him.
They reached the corner of the rectangular upper floor of the school that had four corridors surrounding the offices in the center with floor-to-ceiling windows along the long ends of the floor, with the short ends housing stairs that led down into the unknown misery that was being faced below.
Looking around the corner carefully, they didn't spot any zombies in the gothic corridors that were being gloomily lit in the midafternoon sunlight.
Although the second he walked around the corner, he was proven how wrong he was about there not being any zombies...
Unknown to Abel, who neglected looking up at the ceiling, a zrendza was awaiting his arrival after seeing one of its partners getting killed by the black-haired creature that smelled of nothing.
Dropping down from the roof, it reached for the nice, long ponytail behind Abel's head, yanking it back like it wanted to reveal a new product.
Following the motion of his head being yanked by his ponytail, he was now regretting the whole keeping the ponytail to look like a long haired cool MC thing instead of being smart and practical by cutting it off to prevent being fucked over by his own hair.
Abel's head smashed the tiled floor, producing cracks in it with how hard his head smashed against it.
Seeing the ugly son of a bitch's face looking down at him while it was crouching on all fours and then looking back to something, he remembered that there were still Omi and Ms. Emberwing behind him.
So, before the creature's brain started operating at normal speeds, catching up with Abels thoughts of attacking Ms. Emberwing and Omi, he reached his right hand towards the zrendza, now looking at it, it was a girl, and grabbed its left arm.
Surprisingly, he was capable of swinging the thing like a ragdoll into the wall on his right-hand side with his current strength and with how light and skinny it was.
Colliding with the wall like a bag of dried sticks, most of its bones broke except for the one that Abel was holding onto, leaving it mostly disabled and lying on the floor.
He was about to finish it off by disintegrating its brains with Corrupt when suddenly a scream was heard behind Abels head, causing him to freeze in place.

[POV, Ms. Emberwing]
When Omi and Ms. Emberwing saw what had happened with the zrendza, they thought it would be finished after it had been smashed against the wall, but oh, were they wrong!
From behind their backs, the sound of fingernails tapping oh so softly on the tiled flooring caused the two to turn around, confronting another zrendza that had appeared behind them, probably waiting in ambush on the ceiling like the one that Abel was facing.
Screaming and backpedaling to get away from the male zrendza that was taking its time to stalk up to the two supposedly vulnerable and weak females, Ms. Emberwing started to wave her hands while still walking backwards until she impacted the glass window behind her with a low 'DONG'.
Starting to panic from the situation and looking to Abel, who now had his leg grabbed by the zrendza he was facing, as the zrendza in front of them got ever closer, Ms. Emberwing began to feel a heat running from her sternum to her shoulders and down to her hands.
Instinctively, she stopped waving her hands around and pointed them at the zrendza in front of her when suddenly a jet of fire like that of a flamethrower sprayed forth from them, lighting the zrendza on fire like a marshmallow dropped in the fire, causing the skin to bubble and pop as it screamed in pain and tried to roll around to get the magical barbeque fuel off of its rapidly charring skin until it slowly stopped from having its brain boiled and health rapidly reduced.

[POV, Abel]
Abel looked at the smoldering body of the zrendza as Ms. Emberwing was looking at her hands like she wanted to run away from them while another zrendza hilariously was whimpering while trying to back the fuck out of there when every one of them was abruptly pulled from the stupor that they were in by the crazy laughter of a now pyromaniac of a fairy that was Omi.
Thanks to the crazy little fairy snapping him out of his little instance of shock from watching a zombie become the main ingredient to a smore, Abel turned back to the not so rapidly retreating zrendza, using his Corrupt to make its brain ash while it screamed in agony.
[Lvl Exp. Gained: 4XP]
After that nice little bit of experience, Abel stood up, rubbing the back of his head while feeling a sticky feeling, guessing correctly that he could finally bleed from the back of his head while shaking it to take away the touch of dizziness that he was facing.
Placing his zrendza's body into his Inventory, he walked up to Ms. Emberwing's one, nudging it with his foot and looking to Omi, asking, "Can I still use this thing?"
Omi flew up close to it, put her hand to its crispy crust-like skin, and nodded to Abel with a 'Mhm!'.
Once he was finished with that, he looked to Ms. Emberwing, who, by the way, should really stop spacing out from getting shocked in a zombie apocalypse. She was still staring at her hands, trying to get them as far away from herself as possible while stretching her neck away from their direction as well.
Seeing this scene happening in front of him in reality, he voided the thought of face palming himself and just straight up did it from the utter ridiculousness that he was seeing.
How could she look at Abel, albeit with a flustered look most of the time, like he was an absolutely normal human when just a few hours ago he was a dried-up skin suit over a skeleton with no eyes, while now even with eyes and nice smooth skin, he doesn't look human.
And here she was looking at her hands like a creepy monster after they shot flames out, even though, again, she had seen him making dark misty pervert tentacles, but she didn't look at him like that.
Where was her logic? Honestly, he was worried for her if this was going to happen from having only a little bit of fire shooting out of her hands.
Shaking her from her stupor after walking up to her and nearly making her jump out of her skin, Abel asked her gently, "Ms. Emberwing, is everything okay? Why are you getting so scared of yourself after seeing everything that happened to me and everything that I've done?"
Shaking her head and hands that she had put to her side so that she could calm herself, she responded with a slight smile with a rosy blush stretched across her cheeks, "I'm fine now, thanks Abel. I just thought that I wasn't changed even after the System showed up and that I would just stay the same while everything became more dangerous and changed around me.
Or rather, I hoped for it, as I wasn't confident in what I would do if I even had powers, thinking I would probably hurt someone and mess up.
Even when looking at you change and do everything, I couldn't picture you messing up because you always stand up for yourself, even if you know you will fail, but you always succeed."
Abel looked at Ms. Emberwing and chuckled, saying, "Haha! Ms. Emberwing, I mess up all the time when facing my problems. I get anxious and afraid, but knowing now that I won't turn into a zombie, I can at least make those mistakes freely, but I still feel nervous and dumb while making them.
I'm not confident in my use of my abilities at all; I just use them on instinct, bulldozing through like a truck that likes hitting people and making them transmigrate."
Ms. Emberwing, ignoring that weird truck remark, blushed even more while looking down and twirling her hair like a schoolgirl would when speaking with her crush.
When she looked up again while taking a deep breath, she spoke with a smile that made her squint and show off her dimples: "Please, call me Kylie or just Ember; I'm not your nurse anymore. And thank you for telling me how you feel when doing all of that amazing stuff; it helps to know that you are more human than you appear."
Feeling the awkward tension between them, Abel tried reaching out his hand to her cheek while she closed her eyes...
