Words and Weird?!

[Day 3... Should that be considered perverted?]

"Pervert." Omi said while looking to the side, away from the interaction.

Abel's finger stopped rubbing the 5 cm (1.9 inches) long cockroach suddenly as he felt a vein throbbing in anger on his forehead from Omi's comment.

He turned to her and asked, with a forced smile on his face, "Why did you call me a pervert?"

Omi turned, looked him dead in the eye, pointed to the not-so-little cockroach in his hand, and said with a blank face, "Our "little" friend over there is a girl."

When he heard this, Abel looked down at the cockroach in his hand, which was busy rubbing its antennae and face with its forelegs as if it were shy or embarrassed.

Finally, he understood why Omi had called him a pervert, as a cockroach's antennae were one of the most sensitive parts of its body, and he had just touched it as if he had just randomly gone up to a girl and groped their breast.

'I'm so sorry for touching your antennae without asking if it was okay first.' Abel said this in panic.

Yet he didn't realize how stupid he sounded, as the cockroach did not have such weird concepts, she was just shy and embarrassed from getting her antennae rubbed by someone she had such a strong connection to.

He watched as the cockroach did its little jig on his hand without answering him, so he started getting anxious, thinking he had angered her.

'Don't worry, she is just happy, not angry. She has no concept of what is appropriate or not, so don't worry.' Omi said while giggling at Abel's distress.

Abel quickly grasped the fact that Omi was just trying to mess with him, so he decided to ignore her for the rest of the time they spent together unless he needed to ask her something important.

Ignoring the giggling fairy, he focused on the cockroach in his hand, deciding to use his Appraise skill once again after a while of neglect.

Abel decided to look at the skills and trait of the little roach after they were all in the lounge, out of the open area of the corridor where anything could attack them.

Looking at the roach still doing that weird jig in his palm, Abel got her attention and said to her in a serious tone of voice, "From now on, you will be named Khepri after the Egyptian God of Insects and Rebirth."

His words caused a visible change in his surroundings as he felt nearly all of his mana leave him and enter the roach in front of him, and even more mana that he hadn't even noticed from their surroundings entered her.

She didn't undergo the same type of change that she did with Corrupt, yet she gained some extremely faint and vague green markings all over her body that resembled nothing as of now.

Kylie quickly caught Abel, who felt like he was going to collapse, as no one noticed the shocked little fairy, who had stopped giggling and had gone unnoticed.

Not wanting to be stuck out there any longer, they made their way to the teachers' lounge, ignoring any groans from behind the doors of the teachers offices.

They got to the door in 15 minutes, with Abel feeling fine after 1 minute had passed and having been able to walk the rest of the way slowly so as not to alert any zombies, as he was now much weaker.

Just wanting to get food for the starving Kylie without having to go through another fight.

Just when he wanted to open the door, Khepri, who had found her way to Abel's shoulder, wiggled her antennae, which were enhanced by being Corrupted.

She quickly spoke within his mind in that innocent voice, 'Mashta, there'sh zombiesh iwn dewre.'

Without thinking about the zombies in the room, Abel quickly said something unrelated to the whole situation: "We need to work on how you pronounce your words."

Kylie and Omi were confused but realized that he was talking to Khepri on his shoulder.

'Sowwy. Sniff.' Khepri spoke in a dejected tone, making Abel feel extremely bad.

'It's okay; I know you're just learning Khepri. I'm sorry for saying that I don't even know where it came from, to be honest.' Abel scratched his head and felt as if something had made him say those words.

(A/N: Don't look at me like that; speaking in a baby voice takes time to type…)

"Okay, so there are a few zombies inside that are being quiet for some reason. You guys don't have to do anything, Kylie and Khepri, if that's alright with you.

I want to level up again, and there are too many couches in there for your fire, Kylie. And Khepri, I'll wait to test your strength against a single opponent.

Omi, you just keep being you, I guess?" Abel said as he first looked at the two girls as he spoke to them, then lastly he turned to Omi in confusion, thinking as to what the fairy was good for other than being a cheeky fairy.

Kylie nodded her head, and Khepri wiggled her antennae in agreement with Abel's plan, while Omi puffed her cheeks up and folded her arms over her small breasts with a 'Hmph!'.

Abel, remembering what happened earlier with Omi, broke out in a cold sweat and tried to fix the situation with her.

"I'm sorry, Omi; I never meant it in a bad way, just that I don't know what you're capable of or if you are allowed to do anything to help in this situation." Abel responded with an awkward smile.

"Uhm, well, no, I can't help you in this situation yet, teehee." Omi replied with a blush while sticking the tip of her tongue out.

"Oh, well, I look forward to when you can, haha." Abel replied with an awkward and strained laugh.

When the questions were finished and Abel regained his cool, he reached for the door to see just why these zombies were quiet. What he found on the other side was weird, to say the least…
