"This can't be happening!"

It was still early in the morning, but Elijah had to listen to Damian whine in disbelief that they were no longer roommates in their second year. Elijah, Damian, and Sofia were looking at the dormitory assignments after they on their second year. But as soon as Damian saw Elijah's name and his name in the same room on the long list, the elf was furious and didn't stop ranting on the spot.

"Besides, why did they have to put you with this human named Gazel?! Until now, I haven't forgotten how he wanted to abandon everyone to save himself on our first mission!"

Damian pointed at Elijah's roommate's name with hatred, as if he could have finished Gazel off if they had met this time.

"You don't have to think about it too much, Damian. What's going to change if we're not roommates? We can still meet at another time."
