This story is about two mentally broken people who cannot give one another what they want, even though deep inside they wish they would find solace in each other, thus, although there is no "real" romance, they still manage to form their own twisted connection, and they don't really mind it.

Da Hye swallowed an invisible lump in her throat and looked down at her hands. She knew everything about her mother except for one major thing - she did not know how she died, and no matter how hard she insisted on learning the truth, every person she turned to seemed to be entirely helpless and useless to her. She's been dying to learn what happened to her mother but now that she had come so close to finally doing so, she could not help but feel scared.

Ah Yeon, having noticed her friend's distressed face, covered her hands with hers and offered her a supportive nod. Lee Min Hwa, encouraged by that friendly gesture, continued her story,

"Father passed away a month after Min Hyun was born and that unfortunate event was our sign to secure his will. Our agreement seemed simple - Young Jae was supposed to take me to Da Na and all she had to do was to place the documents somewhere safe, away from Hyun Woo and his people.
