This story is about two mentally broken people who cannot give one another what they want, even though deep inside they wish they would find solace in each other, thus, although there is no "real" romance, they still manage to form their own twisted connection, and they don't really mind it.

The New Guy

Doctor Noh carefully removed the bullet from Lee Min Hyun's body and patched him up rather skillfully. According to his words, thanks to his strong abdominal muscles, the bullet did not manage to go too deep or damage internal organs. However, he did lose a significant amount of blood and required additional rest to regain his strength.

Watching the guy lying unconscious on the bed with the IV tubes sticking out of his arms, Ah Yeon could not help but wonder if that was what she looked like when Min Hyun brought her back home after that incident when she got her bones broken.
