I wrote this, and then re wrote it for a college class, after a few years of doing nothing with it I decided to upload it.
It's a short space sci-fi mystery where humans have been dead for a very long time.

An unknown ship.

Silence fills the room, they watch the monitor once more as the droid proceeds deeper 


into the strange ship, the captain has the sound turned back on, while the crew protest 


after seeing what just happened only to meet silence as the humming is gone.


Ridge: up saying that the humming is still there, but they cannot hear it.


Mayla confirms this by showing them a hologram of the sound meter as it clearly 


displays that the humming is still there. The droid turns a corner and there the hallway 


stretches with no other doors except one on the very end.


Mayla: the humming is more prominent in that direction then in any other, and so the 


droid proceeds forth at the captain's command. As it reaches the end of the hall, a Red 


outline appears around the door, and then a large hologram red X shape appears as if 


Knowing they need to find out what is causing the sound, as well as what is behind that 


door; Ridge orders the droid to cut into that door if it can. They watch the droids cutting 


tool rise up on the right side of the monitor towards the door, and suddenly the screen 


goes black. Then it displays and error message telling them that the connection to the 


Ridge looks around at his command crew as they start typing away trying to figure out 


what went wrong, he orders a new droid to be sent, and just as he does so he receives a
