I wrote this, and then re wrote it for a college class, after a few years of doing nothing with it I decided to upload it.
It's a short space sci-fi mystery where humans have been dead for a very long time.

An unknown ship.

Just as he finishes, the screen in front of him has a notification from the medical section. 


He takes a look and sees that they have, as of this moment gotten Rael to talk rather than 


hum. And the first thing he said after coming to his senses but passed out shortly 


afterwards was actually a message for the captain.


He reads it aloud and the only one there to speak up about it is Marlid, whom not only 


speaks up, but stands up after hearing the message be read aloud. 


Marlid: Captain, if that is truly what Rael saw, then we need to leave. Abandon this place 


and return to report this at once. Even command, even the empire would send a fleet here.


Ridge having not the age of Marlid questions what he means by this. But Marlid only 


focuses on the message and what Rael said within, "soft blue lights in the darkness".


Illid seems to start tapping away at his window console for a bit only say he has got 


nothing on that, and his friend has nothing either. 


Marlid: you and your friend never saw it. It was not a common thing, nor does one whom 


has ever seen it wish to see it again! I myself have not seen it, but I knew one who did, 


and all it was, was a horror tale. One that I do not wish to take part in! 


Only the older ones know this, only they know of the blue eyes. They glow in the 


darkness and light, and with them come only death. Even most humans did not wish to
