CHAPTER 252
Silver froze, feeling his soft lips pressed against hers, his eyes closing as the lingering kiss that spoke of all the words left unsaid, all the emotions buried deep, finally surfacing.
Silver's breath hitched, her mind was filled with confusion and something else, something she hadn't felt in a long time.
Her lips were soft against Shawn's, the warmth of the moment drawing them together like magnets. But she didn't pull away.
Instead, she let herself sink into the kiss, into the warmth of his arms, even as her heart hammered wildly in her chest, warning her of the consequences that would surely follow.
Angry, frustrated, desperate, lonely and sad, Shawn pulled her closer, his lips crushing hers some more.
And when she responded, parting her lips, something primal came over him and he dove in. She tasted sweet, intoxicating like his wine. He was drowning in her, losing himself.
